We loved our stay at Kantary. It always feels like coming home. It was so nice to see familiar faces such as Khun Ya and Khun Chen who make us feel welcome.
We hope to see them again next time. We also appreciated the lovely figures made of towels in our suite.
Thank you for making our vacation a memorable one.
The breakfast staff is the best! Ya, Chin, Pra and our own eggman. All loveley and professional people. You got to love them. Clean spacious rooms. Perfect location in Nimman area.
It is a very elegant and comfortable place to stay. I liked the design of the hotel facilities and the room. Staff were very helpful and pleasant and the open air restaurant had so many breakfast and diner choices. Very close to a lively area of town with many other food choices.
Planes landing and taking off went by very low and were somewhat noisy during the day but absent at night.
พี่เมย์น่ารักมากค่ะ แนะนำดี เซอร์วิสดี ส่วนพี่ๆ staff P’Q P’Kung and P’Nui more friendly ka good experience we’ll come again ka thank you mak mak ka
Freundliches Personal, Sehr Zentral. Gutes Restaurant.
Die Betten sind leider sehr hart. Und um zu Duschen mußte ein Knopf für den Boiler gedrückt werden. Das Wasser war extrem Heiß.
Location is in walking distance to the bars and restaurants.
Friendly staff. Clean hotel and good breakfast
Quite a noisy hotel.
The hotel is situated close to the hotel, where the planes are taking off. So you can hear the planes throughout the day up until around midnight, which is loud.
Also trying to get a taxi to and from the man location of chiang mai, where the old town is, is very hard.
Das Frühstück war überwältigend. Für jeden Geschmack ausreichend Auswahl
Nichts
The aircraft fly low overhead after take off.
The hotel is conveniently located at the popular Nimma area and away from the busy main road not too far away inside a small lane. So it's quiet. I stayed for 3 weeks & Counter service was very friendly and helpful.Room hygiene and breakfast/Dinner was excellent. Here I like to praise their Nimma bar & Grill restaurant staffs who provide excellent service during my enjoyable meals with my colleagues on few occasion especially to Ms Ae,Ms Song & Ms Nun for their friendly service a big rhank you to them. Would definitely stay again in future business trip.
The service at this hotel is exceptional. Special thanks to "Ken" and "Donnut", who went above and beyond to help me with my daily Grab deliveries. They even got on the phone with the drivers to resolve issues, which was a huge lifesaver. Also, the doormen were amazing—they were always there, waiting to open the door the moment I arrived. Those small, thoughtful gestures really touched my heart. Every staff member was incredibly kind and made me feel truly pampered.
As for the facilities, they have a classic feel, but everything is clean and well-maintained. The room feels like a cozy apartment, equipped with a microwave, a full-sized fridge, and a stove—all in perfect condition. They even provide a full set of cutlery and dishes, making it perfect for enjoying takeout. The air conditioning works flawlessly, and the hot water is excellent. As a Korean who enjoys a hot shower even in 32-degree weather, I was very satisfied, though it was a bit a pity that the hot water only lasts for about 45 minutes.
A couple of tips for travelers:
Water quality in Thailand can be an issue, so bringing a shower filter is a must. While this hotel seems better than others, my filter still turned dirty in just one day.
There are some mosquitoes, so I recommend bringing a plug-in mosquito vaporizer.
Overall, I recommend this hotel over any other in Chiang Mai. The parking lot is spacious, making it very convenient for taxi pickups. Its location, slightly away from the Old City, means less traffic when heading out to Doi Inthanon or Mae Taeng (Bua Tong Waterfalls). Plus, One Nimman and MAYA Mall are just a 10-minute walk away. Even if you take a Grab, it only costs around 75 to 120 THB. Highly recommended!
This is very much a conference hotel used to dealing with large numbers. Although not far from the airport the plane noise was barely noticeable. We were in a sizeable junior suite overlooking the pool that could have done with a refresh but was perfectly adequate. Fridge and air-con were very noisy so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Basic tea and coffee facilities in room but you can access refreshments from the executive lounge, which is possibly too grand a name for the room. Room was serviced daily, with water and toiletries refreshed daily also. Breakfast is from 6am which is useful if you have early pick-up for tours and there is good international choice with the croissant warmer being a nice touch. 10-minute walk to the white market (artisan) and the Nimman shopping centre with plenty of coffee shops and restaurants a short walk away. Favourites being Rune Coffee shop and Ginger Farm Kitchen. A comfortable and clean base.
My suite was very good but I do prefer a corner suite which I will book next time.
The breakfast is excellent, and I love the swimming which I used every morning.
A great location. And flowers in my room as requested.
One minor issue, the lever for the basin plug disappeared during my stay.
While this property's public areas were well maintained and clean the room was not at all maintained well. There was a terrible mildew smell that triggered an allergic reaction making it difficult to get a restful sleep. We were on a tour and others on our tour indicated that they had the same problem in their room. The rooms are definitely in need of an upgrade.
