Breakfast was awesome, pool and the folks' services at the pool were incredible

The hospitality was unmatched, it was clean,scenic, beautiful pool, amazing restaurant

I honestly don't even have the words to fully describe how incredible our stay was—what an amazing experience for both me and my friend!

Let’s start with the location: nestled in a peaceful spot, perfect for unwinding. The pool and lounge area are stunning—pure relaxation! Just a short walk away, you’ll find a breathtaking beach with crystal-clear waters and everything you need for a perfect day under the sun.

And then… the staff. Absolutely WONDERFUL! Truly the BEST OF THE BEST—kind, attentive, and always with a smile. They made our stay unforgettable.

The hotel is also ideally located just a 10-minute drive from Tropea, a charming little town perched on a mountain with spectacular views of the coast. The perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.

I will definitely be back. Highly, highly recommended!

Lovely hotel most of all the staff are amazing food is beautiful also the pool food menu is great
The pvt beach area is lovely there’s a nice restaurant on the beach we didn’t use the shuttle service we preferred to walk but it’s a nice stroll
We are wanting to return in September I’m sure we will be having another great time

Had a wonderful experience at Hotel Tirreno. My favorite part was the people who work there, Stefania, Michele and the entire staff was excellent. The breakfast was great and have dinner a few nights at the hotel, loved so much tried to recreate meals at home. The fact that they are located close to Tropea, they have a shuttle to the town center and to their private beach. I loved the pool and the pool bar - it was all molto bueno! I hope I can return. Grazie!

L'hôtel est bien situé, les services sont excellents et le personnel est bienveillant et très sympathique.

Snídaně byla výborná, pestrá, každý den se obměňovala. Moc se nám také líbilo sezení v zahradě. Personál byl velmi milý a vstřícný. Krásný bazén v zahradě s barem, který měl pěknou nabídku nápojů i jednoduchých jídel. Velmi příjemné umístění na svahu nad mořem, na které byl výhled. Službu hotelového shuttle jsme ani nevyužili, rádi jsme se na krásnou písečnou pláž s příjemnou restaurací prošli. Stejně tak do asi 1,5 km vzdáleného půvabného starobylého městečka Tropea. Velmi milý a ochotný personál.

Nice pool area & bar, lovely beach. Also the sister hotel Piccolo has a nice rooftop bar, manned by the ever smiling Michael.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week's stay at this excellent hotel. All the staff were very efficient, pleasant and helpful. Our room was wonderful, spacious with a roomy balcony and a window facing west so that we could watch the stunning sunsets. The food was excellent, breakfasts and evening meals, with high quality food well-cooked and presented. The location was great, just a fifteen minute walk down to the hotel's own gorgeous beach, with sun-loungers and parasols provided and crystal clear water for swimming and snorkelling.

Privater Parkplatz, Zimmer am Pool war neu und sehr funktionell, schöner gepflegter Pool, Shuttles zum Privatstrand und nach Tropea, sehr gepflegter Garten.

This is our third stay at Hotel Tirreno and it was just as pleasant as the previous visits. The hotel is immaculate, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the beautiful town of Tropea is magical. The restaurant at the hotel is very good, offering many different choices. The breakfasts are also very good with lots of different variety that is sure to please everyone. We will definitely be back again.

Hotel Tirreno deserves 5 stars. My wife & I had a 2nd floor room with a large balcony overlooking the pool, the sea, views to Tropea & Stromboli.

The pool is excellent with plenty of comfortable lounges. The pool bar is an added bonus. They hotel takes pride in their gardens, and the olive trees are amazing. The staff at the hotel were friendly & always willing to help. The hotel restaurant (dinner & breakfast) is lovely and perfect for dining al fresco on warm summer evenings.

For those travelling with a car, there is ample & free car parking available at the hotel.

The hotel also provides a shuttle service to the beautiful & sandy beach at Parghelia, including free of charge beach lounges & umbrellas. Alternatively, a downhill walk to the beach takes 10 minutes. A shuttle service is also provided to Tropea.

I highly recommend staying at Hotel Tirreno.

Schöne Anlage, sehr freundliches Personal

We have recently returned from staying 2 weeks at Tirreno. This was our second stay and we have never before returned to the same hotel and this is why -
1. Stefania and ALL the staff are friendly, polite and professional and make you feel welcome from day 1. It is like returning to stay with friends - from the small things i.e making us our coffee each morning (decaffeinated) without even having to ask!The personal touches are much appreciated. The dedication of all the staff really shines through and nothing is too much trouble for them.
2. The grounds and pool are beautifully kept along with a pool bar serving drinks and snacks in the day.
3. The hotel has a dedicated section with sun lounges, parasols and lifeguard. Whatever time of day you decide to go there is always beds available. You can choose to walk or take the hotel shuttle which is a bonus.
4. Getting around southern Italy is easy to navigate using the trains. We visited Pizzo and Scilla which are definitely worth a visit especially for the Tartufo ice cream.
4. Tropea is lovely and walkable in 20 minutes and on an evening the hotel shuttle bus is available to book. We ate in Tropea one night and were spoilt for choice with good restaurants which were reasonably priced.
5. and finally the people you meet staying at the hotel of all nationalities and sharing experiences.
What more can I say …….. but thank you again everyone for a fantastic holiday and see you in 2026.

Our third stay at Hotel Tirrenia. We plan to return in 2026. What is there to report. The family and staff welcome us like long lost relatives, the food is traditional Calabrian and excellent, the superb local wines are selected by the family sommelier (and boss!) Stefania, the rooms are lovely, the pool is welcoming, the private beach, approached by the hotel shuttle or a walk is carefully looked after by a lifeguard who has cared for the beach and its users for the past 25 years.

I've run out of praises!

A lovely relaxing stay in Hotel Tirreno, great location, staff (all), owners, meals, atmosphere, cleanliness, room, pool, outdoor restaurant. This is our second visit to the hotel, and we cannot fault the service and individuals that manage and run the hotel they are firstly a working family unit making an effective team who are pleasant, polite and courteous. We received such a warm welcome from the staff who are always polite and helpful.
The Hotel & rooms are kept spotless and cleaned each day, the pool is also cleaned each day, the garden is also kept in good order, and the gardeners can be regularly seen attending to things.
The restaurant is well organised with your table, which is yours for the duration of your stay, the service is always in good time, no waiting. The choice of food each night is chosen in the morning from a preset menu and varies each day, the quality of the food and amount leaves no room for complaint; breakfast provides a good choice
If you’re looking for nightlife the area is quiet which is why so many people chose it, to visit Tropea in the evening, just sign up for the minibus to take you there and collect you later.
There is a 15-minute walk to beach (or a minibus service provided by the Hotel) where the sunbeds are exclusively for the use of guests with towels provided at no cost and a vigilant and helpful lifeguard stationed at the water’s edge all day. The Town of Tropea is a 35-minute walk away or you can get the train from Parghelia to some interesting places.
