Residence Inn Columbus Downtown

We came into town to see Bob Dylan. We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff was very kind. Jerrick was the valet and he was friendly. Thank you!

Stayed one night at the Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Downtown. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but we were placed in what appeared to be a newly updated room that was clean and quite comfortable. Since our room didn’t face the street, it was pleasantly quiet at night. We also arrived several hours before check-in, and the staff was able to get us into a room in less than 30 minutes, which was much appreciated. The Buckeye Bourbon House, located in the hotel, is a convenient spot for a meal or a drink and is also being used to serve the complimentary breakfast while the main kitchen is under renovation. The breakfast itself was fairly underwhelming, though this is likely due to the ongoing construction. At times, it seemed like only one elevator was in service, which led to longer wait times, but overall it was a decent stay with some minor inconveniences tied to the renovations.

Stayed here in Columbus for three weeks for work, and the valet crew was a total lifesaver. They always had my car ready, zero delays. Charlie was my evening guy: super friendly, took my keys with a smile after long days, handled everything smooth and quick. Jerrick was the morning hero: fast, warm, super detailed. Got me out the door right on time every single day, no rush, no fuss. These two aren’t just reliable; they’re genuinely nice and pay attention to every little thing. Five stars, all around!

The location was perfect and the rooms were intriguing. The fact it was an old bank building made it rooms fascinating. The price of the room was very steep, but the atmosphere made up for the higher than average cost. The hotel was being renovated so things were a bit messy, it was well controlled. There was little interior noise other than the air conditioner in the room and the cars on the road outside. We utilized valet parking and Charlie was very professional and helpful when I needed to get something from the car. Overall the stay was pleasurable and the rooms were cozy.

We had a large block of rooms at the Residence Inn for a statewide business event, and the entire team was truly wonderful from start to finish. Even with some renovation hiccups, hotel staff handled everything with professionalism, clear communication, and so much care.

From valet to the front desk to management, everyone went above and beyond. Check-in was smooth, valet was seamless, and our attendees had nothing but positive feedback for days. People consistently commented on how clean and spacious the rooms were (someone with a gluten allergy was able to pack their own foods and use the kitchen in their room), how kind and helpful the staff was, and how genuinely welcomed they felt.

Several attendees told me, “This absolutely needs to be our hotel next year,” and a few even booked the Residence Inn for future trips to Columbus because they were so impressed.

Also, Buckeye Bourbon House is a fantastic space for an event. The staff there took incredible care of us and helped make our welcome reception feel easy, polished, and special.

Great location.

Originally this trip started off bad. We checked in around 9pm December 4th and the front desk employee was both rude and incredibly unhelpful. We have 4 people in my room, and when I asked for 4 keycards he just said "No. Impossible. 2 is fine." I tried to ask him about parking and he just kept directing me to valet parking even though I was asking "is it valet only?" He would not answer. We came back later in the evening after checking in, and LOGAN. My god, LOGAN. SO helpful. He gave us our total of 4 keycards and answered all questions about parking including gym accommodation!! I was originally so mad with how this trip started, but with Logan being so helpful and accommodating he turned it around. Give this man a raise.
