West Loop is a nice neighborhood but make sure your room is not facing the highway - it's incredibly loud.
The hotel is severely outdated and incredibly loud due to highway proximity, but our primary issue is the highly unprofessional staff and a completely botched room booking.
Room Downgrade: Upon a late night check in, staff informed us our booked twin room (two beds) was unavailable. Instead, we were placed in a room with a pull-out sofa and one bed. Though labeled a "suite," it forced one of us to make our own bed and sleep on a sofa mattress.
Poor Communication & Room Forfeiture: The next morning, the front desk called to say our twin room was ready. Because we were still sleeping, we were going to check in with the front desk later that morning. We were never warned of a time limit, yet when we went downstairs with our belongings, staff informed us they had given our room away.
Displacement & Lack of Communication: Within 12 hours, we went from the wrong room type to no room at all and were forced to put our luggage in storage. Staff promised to call us the moment a room opened up. Instead, they left us entirely without updates for over 7 hours (from 10:30 AM to past 6:00 PM). We only discovered a room was finally available when we returned to the hotel that evening.
Unprofessional Staff: Throughout this ordeal, the front desk was rude, impatient, and treated us like a nuisance rather than guests experiencing a hotel-caused error. Breakfast vouchers did not make up for this treatment.
Lack of Accountability: Booking.com attempted to contact the hotel on our behalf to cancel the remainder of our stay, but the front desk never picked up their phone calls or respond to emails.
Good location.
Most of the front desk staff was very nice and professional. One was not. Will not mention name but was talked to very rudely and unprofessional. Will not be staying here again. Bathroom was not clean but rest of room was. Waited for 3 hours to get into our room after check in time.
It was clean, and the staff was very kind and helpful. I love the fact that WholeFoods was around the corner!

Breakfast was good and the location ideal fit my vacation.

Room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and clean. The location was safe and within walking distance of all my activities I planned for my stay.
The only issue I faced was my thermostat on the wall turned off and I couldn't figure out what happened with it. This was on my last day so it wasn't a big deal.
Our room was in dire need of an upgrade and soundproofing. Our room was on the 14th floor overlooking the expressway from a balcony. It was absurdly loud until after midnight. The front desk gave us earplugs to help. The TV was not chrome share compatible, couldn't mirror my mobile so, bring an adapter to plug into the unit to direct share.
However, the front desk staff were excellent and on top of their game. Rye Deli has a solid breakfast buffet and they make great lattes to help wake you up. Service at the Rye was also excellent. Overall not bad if you don't stay on the side of the expressway.
Service was impeccable. Robin was awesome

1. Cleanliness
2. Decor very outdated
3. Turn carpet in our room
4. Sink too small
5. Toilet was too low to ground.
6. Lobby outdated and uncomfortable and nothing seemed clean.
7. Ice maker out of order
8. Called front desk as no toilet paper in room and was told I’d have to come down to get it. This was at 11:30 at night and had to wait 25 min. before I was waited on!

Location
I booked online for a double bed and queen bed. Paid a little extra for a queen but got two double beds.
The location was excellent.
A lot of noise, we could hear the highway during the whole night.
The AC was too loud
