Clean
I recently stayed at this amazing hotel and it exceeded all my expectations! The staff were super friendly and helpful specially Omar, the room was spotless and comfy, and the breakfast spread was 🔥! Location was perfect, too - easy access to everything I needed. Would definitely come back
During our stay, there was ongoing construction work in the hotel, with loud noise from approximately 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Because of this disturbance, we were moved to another suite. Unfortunately, the new suite was also affected by renovation work and loud noise, so the issue was not resolved.
In addition, we experienced a serious problem with the electricity, which was disconnected, and the air conditioning was not working for around 6 hours. This made the stay extremely uncomfortable.
The service was also far below expectations. Room service was very slow, even though the hotel did not appear to be busy. Simple requests took far too long. For example, even a fruit basket could take up to an hour to arrive. Housekeeping was also below standard, and we repeatedly had to ask for missing items to be provided.
Overall, this experience was highly disappointing and did not reflect the level of service and comfort that we expected from your hotel. The combination of construction noise, room change inconvenience, electricity and AC failure, delayed room service, and poor housekeeping had a major negative impact on our stay. I thought I would have treated in better manner despite that I’m an Ambassador membership with IHG.
Stayed one night with a Viking cruise. Beautiful hotel attached to a huge mall. Lunch was substantial and dinner was a huge buffet. Great food with Egyptian and Western dishes. Room was large with quiet and efficient AC plus lots of storage for suitcases. Wonderful shower with lots of room for toiletries. In the new part of Cairo. Would highly recommend.
Very nice, luxurious hotel. Room is clean, well equipped. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The reception staff was more than excellent when received us , so kind and very hospitality, location of the hotel was super , I advised many of my friends to stay in this hotel always in Cairo

Beautiful hotel with several good restaurants. Best feature was a passageway connecting it to a shopping mall next door. The mall had a fabulous grocery store where we bought spices, chocolates, and cookies to take home. The prices were good, and we could use our credit card safely. The grocery store was on a lower level easily accessed by an escalator that we found quickly upon entering the mall. Enjoyed shopping with the locals.
Everything, great room
The Intercontinental was the designated post cruise hotel for us. As IHG members we are really enjoy and try to stay at Intercontinentals whenever we can. The location seemed ideal from what we could sense and upon entering the lobby we were impressed with the lobby and luxury feel of this property. Upon check in they recognized our IHG status and offered an upgrade which we accepted and added the lounge access. Almost always the lounge is well worth it but this property had a disappointing lounge facility. The room was lovely and modern on the level with the lounge. The classic rooms are a bit dated. The restaurant was spacious and food was plentiful. It overlooked the pool area which looked fantastic but we didn't have time to enjoy it. Overall this property is recommended as it is one of the bets in Cairo and seemed to be the place to be for locals as well.
A lovely hotel located next to a very nice shopping mall in the Heliopolis (slightly more upscale) area of Cairo. The hotel is exceptional for Cairo, very clean and service-oriented. Our room was large, beds were comfortable and TV had multiple English language stations. As this is an older hotel, there was some noticeable wear in a few areas, but it's still well-maintained. We especially liked the free breakfast, with a superb assortment of dishes in a buffet style; everything was delicious. The service in the hotel and restaurant was good (though occasionally slow when busy in the restaurant). The mall next door is accessible directly from the hotel. It is modern, clean, and HUGE (easy to get lost there), with an assortment of retail stores, multiple restaurants/fast food outlets, and a remarkably clean, extensively-stocked grocery store.
I usually wait until checkout to write a review, but this time I just couldn’t wait.
As an IHG member since 2015 who has stayed at many IHG hotels worldwide, I can confidently say the warmth and hospitality here have been outstanding and a big part of that is thanks to Ms. Shaima at the lobby restaurant.
Her beautiful smile and genuinely welcoming nature immediately caught my attention and made me feel so welcomed. She’s an absolute gem, and the entire F&B team should be incredibly proud and lucky to have her.
The Iftar and sahoor have been absolutely delicious big shout out to the chefs for the amazing food. My room is super comfortable and every time I’ve requested something it’s been brought promptly with a smile.
And the location honestly the best part, right in the heart of Citystars making everything so convenient.
I highly recommend this hotel.
