Pros:

Excellent buffet breakfast but not included. The food at the lunch or dinner buffet were similar. There are 3 on site restaurants that might provide better food choices. For an Egyptian cost of living, cost of a US $35 dinner buffet could be quite expensive. The Mall next door has galore of restaurant choices and a good size supermarket.
There's also a nice outdoor swimming pool and also an attached health club and spa. The hotel is clean and appealing.

Cons:

Although the listed price per standard room is $235. After adding tax and fee, the total cost exceeds $ 300 a night. To me that's really expensive inside Cairo. This hotel is actually situated eight miles from downtown area.

Mediocre but efficient
Pros:

It is exactly the way you expect an Intercontinental of this category should be. Comfortable and efficient rooms

Cons:

Long and time consuming check-in. We arrived late and because of the long process we missed the chance to eat at the main restaurant closing at 10:00pm
