Worn out
Location, room was lovely
Big rooms
Expensive parking
The temperature in the room was very stuffy and warm no matter how low the thermostat was.
The location was nice and they valet your car. The rooms were very spacious and clean!
This wasn't something that was too bad, but wish the lightning in the room was brighter.
The room was spacious and beautiful. We loved the location to everything. We also enjoyed the pool table.
There could have been more towels, trash cans and the hot water took FOREVER to heat up.
If you are looking for a hotel that puts you in the heart of the action with a team that actually cares, the Aloft Nashville hits those notes perfectly. While the "software" of the hotel, the people and the placement, is great, the "hardware" definitely needs a tune-up.
The Highlights: Staff & Location
The real reason to stay here is the exceptional staff. From the front desk to the bartenders, everyone was incredibly friendly and eager to help. They bring a warm, welcoming energy that makes a big difference in the overall atmosphere. Furthermore, the location is hard to beat. It is situated in a fantastic area just one mile from the neon lights of Broadway, making it easy to access the city's best attractions while remaining just far enough away to escape the constant roar of the crowds.
The Room Experience
While the service shines, the building itself is showing its age with a severely outdated design. Sleep quality can be a challenge due to the combination of a very hard mattress, flat pillows, and a flashing smoke detector that flashes brightly throughout the night. Additionally, the hallway light leaks significantly around the door, making it difficult to keep the room dark. The bathroom design is also a bit of a hurdle; the lack of a shower door leads to water getting everywhere, and the slatted doors offer very little privacy.
Facilities & Maintenance
The hotel’s infrastructure could use some attention, particularly the elevators, which felt shaky and had non-functioning button lights. If you are traveling for business, be aware that the conference rooms struggled with temperature control and AV connectivity, which led to significant delays for our group. The gym is basic, notably lacking exercise bikes, and the TV isn't positioned well for those on the treadmills. On the plus side, because the elevators do not require a key card for floor access, food delivery services can bring your order directly to your room door.
Final Verdict
Go for the people, stay for the location. The Aloft Nashville is a solid choice if you want a friendly home base near Broadway. However, if you are a light sleeper or require a high-functioning "smart" room for a business trip, the outdated amenities and maintenance quirks might be a bit frustrating.
Really cool place.
Parking
Very spacious rooms very clean! The staff was very friendly.
The parking was valet only. They wouldn’t let you park yourself so you had to pay and extra 44.00 to park. I had forgotten my shoes in my car and I couldn’t go get them and they only had one valet worker working and he was covered up so he couldn’t get them either.
