First time staying here, had a wonderful room with a view and it was in a great location. The staff were very friendly. The negatives were the housekeeping fee charged by Wyndham since we only stayed 3 days and booked through RCI and that they want $40.00 a night to park. We parked elsewhere. Overall great place to stay.
At check-in we were told our room had an ocean view. It did not. The room was on the 2nd floor and the view was the pool, which was located directly outside the windows. The curtains had to remain closed for privacy.
An actual ocean view…
The property is nice and in a wonderful location. It’s right across the street from the beach and the Oceanside pier. It’s walking distance to some really good restaurants and the weekly street market. The staff was exceptional. Friendly and helpful.
We didn’t love the timeshare sales associates constantly trying to get us to sit through a presentation. Our specific room was not cleaned very good after the last guests. The floor had not been vacuumed, and there were mildew stains on the lower half of the shower. The property could definitely use some updating. It feels like a Miami Vice episode from 1990.
Close to all the amenities and shopping areas. The weather was perfect for this time of year!
No swimming area towels.
Beachfront vibe. My go to place for the past 3yrs of my birthdays. Spent 59 60 now 61st this week. Loved this place
I checked in on monday march 29th at 4pm had a late night dinner came back to hotel laid in bed and woke up to seeing what I was laying on due to an odor and it was my pillows stained with red blood color. I immediately thru the pillows and was disgusted I slept on it. At 7am I went to the store and purchased new pillows for myself. I looked up other rooms to move to but occupancy was sold out everywhere. I sucked it up being my bday week getaway and laid on bed with a new bedspread I bought and new pillows for my room 216A. Than I tried to go in pool/spa but couldn't due to water being yellow in color not clear. Laid out at pool was ok. Went back to room and on Wednesday night kids will be kids started to ding dong ditch with doorbell on my room. I did not want to be that complaining old woman but I had no choice but to leave a complaint / incident report with Sharii at front desk due to rash on my right side of face from sleeping on pillows which she immediately called management to check room so I won't be responsible for damages done and behold management came back with response the whole bed was saturated in blood also. They shut the whole room down. Guess cleaning was not done before I checked in. I'm so saddened my 5star hotel turned to a dirty 1 even with newly renovations to hotel done last year. I'm dissapointed in Club Whyndham also who signed me up for a session who insisted they needed my credit card for verification and will not charge it than of course I got billed $40 for attending something I did not need and want to attend but did due to terms of being free and 1hr of my time. I vacation every year and this one was a trip with way lower standards im accustomed to and no rest at all. Please do better Club Wyndham of Oceanside Calif. Thank you for listening
Location is great. We walked to restaurants and very close to the beach. Bed was very comfortable.
There was hair in the bathtub. We ran out of hand soap and bath soap - we bought our own.
Great location right near the pier, the beach and downtown. Depending upon your room location the view can be stunning.
What a great view, loved the amenities
The staff was rude
It was beautiful great location
We checked in after booking through booking com and where invited to a meeting full of wonderful things a trip to Hawaii for attending meeting for 90 minutes no problem but now we did get the 100 Visa card and free parking but when we got our voucher it was for another 90 minutes of meeting and only 2 days 3 night and destination was Florida Vegas or California hmm so enjoy the hotel but don't do meeting. Enjoy your stay
I loved the jacuzzi in my room and in the pool area . I was able to enjoy the sunset at poolside and it was amazing you got a clear view . I didn’t lift a finger checking in , it was great!
The physical location of the hotel (not including the room you're assigned) is unbeatable. Oceanside is beautiful and quaint, and I love that everything is walkable. ONE staff member was extremely helpful, which was important when others were not. The free happy hour was nice, and the pool and fitness center / sauna was perfect.
While the hotel's location is unbeatable, the limitation on well-positioned rooms which are available even off-peak season is frustrating. Considering that the only way to book this hotel is through a third party it was frustrating that a ocean-view room was booked and paid for and not given upon arrival. We had a late check-in and were met with the night staff at 10PM; she seemed either drunk or confused as to why we were there, wasn't helpful in answering g our questions, and the next day we discovered she had forgotten to give us wristbands and offer us the guest perks. We paid thousands of dollars to have mom sleep on a pullout sofa while we slept in the 1 bed available; Hannah who I believe is the manager there was the only staff member kind enough to sort our issues for us and the only one we weren't scared to talk to. The entire place feels a bit gimmicky, as if they're trying to sell timeshares to you the entirety of the time you're there. There is no cleaning service unless requested, and reasonable items requested were never available (a steamer, for example). Not to mention, the misogynistic rule (words of the staffers, not by me!) that the best perks offered by their various presentations can't be redeemed by married women whose partners aren't also present with them? A single male friend of mine was offered a $100 giftcard for attending a presentation, and was given $50 to the hotel market, while I was not allowed anything because I was married and my husband wasn't there. seems absolutely wild.
The hotel is close to the ocean
They placed us in a handicapped room with a tiny shower! The beds also smelled like someone had been sleeping in them already🤢
