4-star hotel with a 3-star hotel breakfast

Cons:

Definitely not a 5-star hotel after European standards. Very poor breakfast. No fresh bread, dry and flavourless pancakes, dry salads and eggs, very poor selection of cheese and ham... One day the food was taken away before breakfast time was over. We had dinner one night. Dishes and wine were frankly poor, though overpriced. No attention or interest shown by the receptionists, not the day we arrived, much less during our stay...There may have been a time when Grodek was a great hotel, but we cannot understand how it is rated as a 5-star now.

The location was excellent - 2 mins walk from the main market square. The room was heated very well.

Cons:

It is a 5 star hotel yet it felt like a 3 star hotel at best. The reception staff never greeted us and would only reply quietly after I said hello. The interior is outdated. There was a TV with a smart device but the device did not work. The shower did not drain properly causing water to almost overflow from the shower cabin after short use. Not even 1 bottle of water was complimentary.

クラクフで見つけた我が家
Pros:

クラクフへの旅が決まった際、偶然このホテルについて書かれたブログを見つけました。とても人気があると知り、年末の旅行にもかかわらず、早くも3月には予約を済ませました。

このホテルの魅力は、何よりもスタッフの皆さんがとても親切なこと、そして清潔で居心地の良いインテリアです。「ポーランド人のお家はこんな雰囲気なのだろうな」と想像していた通りのお部屋で、毎日ここに帰ってくるのが楽しみで仕方ありませんでした。

朝食のビュッフェも素晴らしく、種類豊富な料理や飲み物、デザートがずらりと並び、大満足でした。

クラクフ中央駅からはスーツケースを引いて歩くと20〜25分ほどかかりますが、坂道はほとんどなく、美しい街並みを眺めながら歩けるので、タクシーに乗ってしまうのはむしろもったいないと感じました。旧市街の中心から少し離れている分、とても静かで、トラムの駅も近く、どこへ行くにも大変便利です。

次回はぜひ、緑が美しい季節にまた戻ってきたいと思います。
