Athlone Springs Hotel

Stayed one night with 2 adult children in an interconnected room whic was great. Staff were lovely. Nice rooms. Delicious food. Handy location but not scenic. Definitely go back and would recommend although I thought it was a bit pricey.

Had a lovely few days in this hotel. Comfortable room, very clean with laminated floor so much better than carpet. Very handy to have Supervalu, Pharmacy etc nearby as hotel is a little out of town, very peaceful. All staff so courteous and helpful, especially the receptionist on duty on 30th March who was so helpful in arranging a room change for us. Lovely breakfast each morning. Sunday lunch delicious and good selection of bar food. Will return.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The staff were generally quite friendly and the breakfast options were reasonable. However, we had a bad experience on the 2nd night. At check in I asked the lady on reception if the room would be quite as I really needed a good night's sleep as I was home for an anniversary mass and there was alot of preparation around that. She assured me that the room would be nice and quite and not to worry. However on Saturday night thumping music started travelling through the walls of our room and the adjoining room. The music eventually finished at 3am. I called down to complain about the noise and ask if they could move us. The night porter said "what do you want me to do? There's a GAA thing on tonight." I asked him to be less flippant and answer my query appropriately. He then told me that he had been asked by his manager to offer ear plugs to anyone that complained. I was furious and he then said he would look into it. When I called down again he was noticeably anxious because he had received several calls from other guests about the noise. He also noted that our room was positioned over the ballroom and was not good for a family room. The reception staff were apologetic the next day and offered to help sort things out.
I appreciate that hotels have functions on, but better consideration should be given to room allocation or appropriate sound proofing given. A decent night's sleep when staying away from home is the minimum you could ask for.

We had a very pleasant overnight stay in a quiet spacious room, followed by a lovely breakfast . A special mention of thanks to Kristina, the receptionist, who organised a room change with ease.

Noise level good except two nights awakened by excessive fan noise 2.15am on two nights, Turned off by night staff when requested . Service very good by excellent staff.

was with you for 3 nights. Room was fine. Despite the best efforts of your excellent staff member Tadhg we could not get the TV to show the Irish channels. It could only be accessed by operating RTE Player, which in itself was difficult to access.
Your staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.
Food quality was average.

Lovely night away. Rooms were fab and staff were super helpful. The lady on reception last Sat night was such a sweet heart. Apologies I forgot her name

No Sauna as advertised and I paid for it..
Lesiure centre is terrible and the swimming pool is a joke

We were visiting to spend time with my sister who is unwell and the location was a 10 min walk to her home our family room was great a very comfortable bed a great location and a delicious breakfast the staff were so friendly and attentive our room was missing a cup and a hand towel but that was quickly resolved 8 of us dined on our last evening and the food and service was fantastic

I stayed in your hotel last night room 116.
I would like to give some feedback. There were 4 of us together and we had a lovely dinner and drinks in the bar.
Unfortunately the breakfast was not good we were there at 9am and the rashers that were served to us must have been cooked at 6am they were only fit for the bin. No chef should have allowed them out of their kitchen we did bring it to the attention of the staff on duty. I have attached a picture of the bacon which you will see is hard to recognise. My egg fried was swimming in oil or water I couldn't tell which I had to soak it up with a napkin. We were so disappointed having had a positive experience the evening before.
Also attached is a picture of the curtains in room 116 which you can see they have holes. Not impressed.
You have wonderful friendly staff but the above let the whole experience down.

Very pleasant experience, attended a wedding in the hotel. The food, service, staff were all great. Room was lovely, comfy bed and pillows, lovely toiletries provided including conditioner which was a bonus! Water was provided in the rooms, there was also an iron and ironing board, hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities. I would return to this hotel if in the athlone area again.

We stayed Room was lovely.we stayed last Saturday the 14th of march in room 202. Some Alarm went off at 2 in the morning went on for a few mins no one came near us and told us anything weather too leave our room. It took us ages too go back too sleep again I was not Hapoy about this at all. When we checked out the next morning I gave the key cards too the receptionist and all I got what thanks , she did not ask did we enjoy our stay which I found very unprofessional we have stayed in a lot of hotels and they always ask us that on departure. No mention about the smoke alarm why it went off or an apology . We did not have a great night at all. We have have stayed in the Athlone springs hotel before and it was lovely , but I cannot say the same about our recent stay there . I have sent an email about this too the hotel and no one has got back to me at all which I am not very happy about. No explanation, nothing .

Again a lovely stay. Comfortable, very pleasant & helpful staff. Really liked the refurbished bedroom with laminated flooring.

We stayed here for a weekend recently with our two kids. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the hotel as we were attending an event in a neighbouring town, but the room was very comfortable, breakfast was lovely, staff were very friendly. Good location on the outskirts of town

Lovely hotel and room, sadly the lights didn’t work in the bedroom and the window wouldn’t fully close leaving the room very cold. Didn’t retire to the room til the early hours and didn’t think it appropriate to get someone out at that hour to fix it. Had a very unsettled night.

Food was to die for and persented spectacularly and the bar men Tadgh and domnick were very accommodating and done the job efficiently

Lovely hotel, great spacious room. Food and bar were great. Will definitely book again when in Athlone.
