Athlone Springs Hotel

Stayed in Athlone Springs for 1 night in January with sister & 2 cousins. We really enjoyed our stay, we used the pool, sauna steam room. Our rooms were upgraded. Staff very nice at reception when checking in.
Had dinner that night in hotel was lovely & breakfast next morning very good too. Staff friendly & helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed one night with family. 3 adults and my granddaughter. There was a fold up bed for her and she was delighted. Room was very clean. Staff very nice and friendly. Food good quality. There was work been carried out on our floor but it did not interfere with our stay. I would go back.

Lovely hotel with a great Leisure Centre. We had a bit of a glitch with our room but the Manager was brilliant & sorted it smoothly & with great efficiency. Really appreciate how we were treated with great respect & professionalism. This is a go to hotel for us to jest get away for a night away.

Stayed here last weekend .Hotel was in process of being decorated.Which we were not informed of beforehand.Lovely rooms but freezing.Had a lovely served breakfast on 1st morning was very impressed with .But came down on Sunday to a very poor buffet breakfast .Overall had a nice stay.

Great airy and spotless room. Great big roomy bed, which was very comfortable to sleep in.
Must say the hotel staff were great! Could not have been more helpful with any queries l had.
Food was magnificent. Cooked to perfection!

Superb service especially from Emma who was simply outstanding and did so much to help me with everything I needed and with such a warm and hospitable style.

Overall a wonderful experience. Great location just outside Athlone town. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food is beautiful and unbelievable value for money! The cleanliness of the hotel is excellent. The staff, as a whole, were happy to help creating a lovely atmosphere and everyone except for one were friendly and inviting! That one was our breakfast server, Nathan, who left us waiting almost an hour for our breakfast the first morning and had one of his colleagues bring it out. The second morning, didn't bring out the coffee order for 15/20 minutes, having served others who arrived after us. He really let his team down. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

Had Tikka Masala in restaurant. Tasted bland. As if made from jar and not with real spices. No vegetables. Nobody came to take my order for 20 mins after I got table. Won't be back

Enjoyed our stay food was very good.we were disappointed on returning to hotel on Sunday night to be locked out of our room as keycards wouldn't work.i went to reception but no one there and on using keypad as instructed to contact staff numerous times there was no response.After waiting for a long period i spotted a member of staff who apologised and rescanned cards which worked.we enjoyed the leisure facilities and pool.

I just wanted to leave a review, myself and my grandson came here for food after a funeral, the waiter wasn't to know that, regardless we were taken care of excellently, the food was superb, service was quick, so tadgh thanks a million for making us feel welcome. A brilliant young man.

Excellent from start to finish. Food was beautiful and leisure centre was great. Room spacious and comfortable. Staff really friendly.

Hotel, room and service was very good
Unfortunately the food in the bistro bar was not very good ..... Most of it was pre frozen food services quality but the hotel was charging premium prices and you could taste and smell that the oil had not been changed regularly.
The breakfast was better quality but the plates were cold so the breakfast got cold once it hit the plate.

Warm room, which wasn’t very well sound proofed . We were woken a couple of times due the children in neighbouring rooms shouting and crying which can’t be helped.

The room was very cold. window looking at a roof full of chimneys that I heard in the room. Very disappointing I was there at four o’clock could have given me a front room.
Breakfast was good. Staff was good

Very friendly staff. Food and desserts delicious. Hot choc and cookies for the kids (wine for parents) a great treat on both days of our stay. We booked the Twixmas family of 4 offer.
Leisure centre was very clean and well kitted out. So spacious. Leisure centre staff were friendly and helpful. A special mention to Adam for being so chirpy and welcoming.
Our only area for improvement would be to have the restaurant and leisure centre warmer. Room temperature was perfect however. Beds very comfortable.

We stayed in this hotel to attend a show in the hotel . The hotel is describes the four star but in all honesty I would say it is very good three star. We ate in the bar and the food was perfectly reasonable and the service was quite good. The room we stayed in with perfectly adequate for our needs for one night with unlike many hotels it appears to have a perfectly functioning thermostat for the heating system so we were able to adjust the temperature to our taste .
I have to say the most impressive thing about our stay in this hotel was the fantastic value for money. Perhaps we availed of a special offer but the room rate was one of the most reasonable I've come across in Ireland in a very long time
. In short I would have no hesitation in saying in this hotel again

Lovely stay. Staff were all pleasant and accommodating particularly because it was new years eve. Felt the pool closed to early on new years eve 5.30pm. Ended up in the bar to ring in new years as not many people came down for it. The bar was freezing and we had to ask management a few times to turn on the hearing. The singer was good but her equipment kept on failing on her which wasn't great, but she over came this and made it a good night for all of the guests

Really enjoyable family break while in the area over Christmas. The room was a good size for a family of four and the we all slept soundly. Breakfast was great and the staff very kind with the kids. We enjoyed time at the swimming pool, where the kids were able to move from the small kiddie pool to the large pool easily with us. The staff were really friendly and helpful at the pool - many thanks.

Everything was amazing very nice staff lovely food and nice having a shop next door. Room was lovely and quiet just what we need after Christmas. Swimming pool was lovely for the kids and the hole hotel was lovely and clean
