Castilla Termal Balneario de Solares

Refugio termal soberbo en las cercanías de Santander, con un entorno tranquilo, excelente desayuno con mucha variedad, habitaciones largas y con cama confortable y buen ambiente. El circuito de termas es muy completo y merece la pena.

El spa muy bueno por eso repetimos después de 3 años.

Para mi sorpresa la habitación estaba bastante sucia al llegar. Era amplia y cómoda y la cama también muy cómoda. La piscina termal es una maravilla. El desayuno muy rico. Y el personal muy amable en general

I love this hotel, we visit every year. It is very relaxing, the pools are great and the indoor thermal pool is amazing. Spa service is very good also. Food is fantastic, staff are very professional and friendly.
The service in the bar/cafe can be very slow. The bedrooms are very old and really need to be renovated, they smell of damp and are very dusty. It is a shame as the rest of the hotel is absolutely lovely.

Old style, new comfort level hotel with stunning inside and outside pools. The healing quality of the water has been recognized for centuries and the hotel was built roughly 200 years ago. Decent food in greenhouse style restaurant aside of the building.
My kid was sick one of the days we stayed here and the staff in the breakfast room were so sweet and considerate in assisting me to get some food upstairs after breakfast hours. Great and personable service. Also, the cleaning staff was polite and friendly, which you don’t see often in other hotels. Thank you, staff, for a wonderful few days!

The spa at Solares has great potential, boasting excellent facilities and a breakfast buffet that stands out for its quality and variety. However, it suffers from two of the most frustrating issues a hospitality establishment can face: an unmotivated and disorganized staff, and a poorly behaved clientele left unchecked.

The staff appears indifferent and uncoordinated, often leaving tasks half-finished, which results in incomplete room servicing and insufficient replenishment of essentials like towels and amenities. The overall upkeep of the rooms feels neglected, which mars what should be a comfortable stay.

The thermal pool, while a wonderful feature, is unfortunately mismanaged. Children are allowed to use it outside their designated hours, disrupting what should be a tranquil and restorative environment. Loud shouting and banging in the hallways at all hours go unaddressed, adding to the sense of chaos and making relaxation nearly impossible.

It is a shame because the spa has all the elements needed to be a standout destination, but the lack of attention to organization and guest behavior significantly diminishes the experience. This could easily be an exceptional place with better management and stricter policies to maintain the peace and comfort expected in such a setting.

Me salió una chinche en el cuarto y muy poco mantenimiento. , la piscina sucia no lo recomiendo para nada

La chambre supérieure avec terrasse donne sur la rue, mais elle est grande ( plus de 20m2) avec fauteuils et canapés confortables, mais pas de chaises longues. Literie exceptionnelle, insonorisation remarquable. Salle de bain bien achalandée qui serait top si l'on avait où accrocher les confortables peignoirs fournis avec les chouettes mules spéciales balnéo.
Choisir de préférence une chambre au 3 ème etage pour le confort visuel et sonore. L'accueil à la réception et le service en général sont également vraiment excellents.
La piscine avec l'espace balnéo est belle et bien équipée (16/20) mais moins bien qu'à l'hôtel de la même chaîne thermale à El Burgo de Osma (20/20) qui mérite le détour.
Le massage spécial '' solarès'' au spa est tout simplement fabuleux: il est incontournable ( je suis un assidu des massages et sais de quoi il en retourne) et d'un excellent rapport qualité/prix.
Le seul bémol de ce bel ensemble est le restaurant, entre pas bon et mauvais,... et hors de prix! Fuyez, et traversez la rue : à 30m allez dîner à la tienda de pedro Garcia on y mange très bien dans un cadre très sympa.
Enfin, il vaut mieux prendre une place payante pour le parking couvert sécurisé ( 12 euros)qui donne accès aux chambres plutôt que dehors, très mal situé.
Pour en finir avec une nouvelle bonne note: 19/20 au petit déjeuner buffet digne d'un excellent 5 étoiles ( j'en ai fréquenté quelque uns et cette note est méritée)

Hotel in centro al paese facilmente raggiungibile .
Il parcheggio lascia un po a desiderare ed e' lontano dall' entrata. La piscina e grande e bella ma bisogna prenotare il proprio turno .
