Totally disgusting. 2 lights working and they barely gave off light. 1 towel. They were body fluid stains on the bedding. The couch and the chair. The tv looked like it had just fallen off the wall and the room had a strange smell to it. And the hallway smelled of weed. I walked out after 5 minutes.
I booked a 4-night stay at the Quality Inn & Suites in Obetz because I was attending a 4-day music festival in Columbus Ohio. I booked it through Expedia and was quoted a total price of $430.53. I mostly just needed a place to sleep that wasn’t too far from the venue and I wanted to make sure there was breakfast, so I didn’t have to deal with that. I checked in late, close to midnight. The place was shabby and not very clean. I got the key to my room and found that there was no soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. in the bathroom. I called the desk, and she said they only had little bars of soap. She brought me 2 and I was able to put one at the sink and one at the shower. I was given a handicap room, not because I asked for it, but it didn’t really matter to me. I thought it was odd that the tub / shower had large holes at the top. I figured out when I went to shower that they just took the rod and curtain down so the water just sprayed all over the bathroom when I showered. When I walked barefoot back in the room, grit from the carpet got all over my feet and I had to brush them off before I was able to put on shoes. I went to eat breakfast, and it was sad. They had a waffle maker, bagels and English muffins and a toaster, and some pre-packed cereal. Nothing hot or fresh. The toaster had 4 slots but only 2 worked. There were a couple kinds of juice in a mini fridge. There were a few tables with stained chairs to sit at. When I went back to my room, I noticed that the door was not shut. That was because the seal at the bottom of the door was torn and had kept the door from shutting completely. I made sure after that to pull the door tightly shut any time I closed it. I left early so that I could go the store to buy some shampoo and conditioner. When I got back to the hotel after midnight that night, I couldn’t get my keycard to work. Luckily there was someone at the front desk and he was able to reprogram it. He told me to keep it away from my phone because that wiped the card. The rest of the days there went the same with the shabby, dirty conditions and sad breakfast. Never any variety of food. I was happy to check out after my 4th night and was out before the checkout time and on my way home. I checked my credit card and saw that I was charged $428.72, which was very close to my quote. Then I checked my card a few days later and saw that there was an additional charge of $116.33. I reached out to Expedia, since I had booked through them. They tried for several days but was unable to reach anyone at the hotel to ask about the charge and having it refunded. So, I started calling the hotel. I called 7 times over the next few days and most went to voicemail. When I did talk to someone at front desk one morning, they told me there was no manager there and to call back in the afternoon. When I was able to reach someone in the afternoon, they said there was no manager there and to call back in the morning. So, then I decided to reach out to the parent company. They were able to tell me that the charge was for an additional night. I said I checked out before the deadline and did not stay another night. I have GPS and video proof of when I left and got back home. They have been reaching out the to the hotel for days, more like a week or two at this point. They have not been able to talk to a manager to get this charge reversed. I keep calling them every couple days and they keep reaching out to no avail. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
This place is a health hazard ans should be shut down. The matress looked like a murder took place on it and the floors aren't any better. They have charged us multiple times since check out for additional night stays and other undisclosed items. If you decide to stay here BYOS (bring your own stuff) since they don't provide towels, blankets, or even soap.
Arrived at 8:30pm to check in. Was told it would be 30-40 min till a room was ready due to cleaning staff. Staff was screaming and swearing at someone. Said id come back in a couple hours as i had tickets to an event. Came back at 10:30 and was told they were full. I had a reservation. Police were there due to an incident between staff and another patron. Coffee puddles all over the foyer. Stains on all the chairs in the lobby. So much screaming, threats, crying up front. There were 10 cars in the parking lot. They weren't full.
nothing
We made a reservation through Expedia, and upon our arrival, we were informed by the gentleman at the front desk that there were no available rooms. When I inquired about the reservation, Joe, who was assisting at the front desk, became noticeably irate. While we were the ones facing an unfortunate situation, Joe's demeanor was not reflective of professional customer service standards, exhibiting an unsettling level of frustration. After a four-hour drive, it was disheartening to discover that our reserved accommodation was unavailable, and the manner in which this matter was handled was less than satisfactory. It raises concerns about their customer experience, given the distressing encounter we just faced.
If your looking for accommodations this is not the place. It is acceptable in a pinch.
Staff was very rude, my room was filthy, hadn’t been cleaned in what looked like years. Could barely see myself in the mirror it was so dirty and gross.
The room was dirty and had not been cleaned, we took pictures. Manager Joe was very pleasant.
Horrible and they do not pay attention apparently to there guests checkout dates because they took my dads stuff from his room and when he got back to the hotel they informed him that his room was already cleaned and rented to another guest! DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR STUFF!!!
Extremely rude and will make up check in times so don’t show at the time you’re supposed to if you don’t feel like waiting hours for your room, very filthy honestly they should be paying people to stay there instead.
Great Customer Service !!
The bathroom wasn’t clean , the toilet was wasn’t flushed to prior customer staying
Every thing in the room looked old and very out dated had a slight smell
It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The pool was broken. There was no breakfast. The front desk staff was rude. The first set of sheets on the bed was staying with blood, and the second set they brought us had burn holes in them, the mattress sustained the ceiling was peeling. There was no toilet paper And no one offered anything to make it better or make it right.
They put us in a unclean room plus made us wait for a few hours even though checkin was at 3
I will also be calling corporate offices for refund. All round terrible experience
