As per Colombia's tax laws Foreign visitors and Colombian citizens currently living outside Colombia are tax-exempt (19% VAT) when receive a PIP3, PIP5, PIP6, PIP10, TP7, TP11 stamp or TP12 visa upon entry to the country. Exemption only applies to room package rates (accommodations plus service). Permit must be shown upon arrival.
This tax is not automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation.
To maintain the safety and quality of the experience for all guests, it is necessary to register companions during the Check In process. In this case the value of the additional person will be $99,000 COP + VAT.
If the companions are not present at the time of Check In, their personal information is required to carry out Pre-Registration. If the information is not registered on time it will not be refundable.
According to Colombian law 2068 of 2020, companions can only be registered with an official document, a citizenship card for national guests and a passport for foreign guests. It is necessary to print and have the hotel registry signed by each companion and clarify to the reservation holder that when their visitor is going to leave the hotel, they must inform the Reception, otherwise this value will be charged for the rest of the nights of their stay. . and the cancelation of the charge cannot be requested.
Guests not registered at Check In will have a charge of $99 USD or its equivalent in Colombian pesos according to the hotel's exchange rate in force and must be paid before entering the room. This value is per day and per person.
Child policy: If a minor is not staying with his/her parents, a parental consent form must be presented and NOTARIZED by the parents.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. El hotel es muy cómodo, limpio, muy bien ubicado el personal es muy amable la estadía fue maravillosa
Excellent hotel to pass some time in Medellín. Though I didn’t try the pool due to weather, I loved the varied breakfast, super comfy bed and large bathroom, as well as the city views from my room up high. The staff is well trained and friendly, one can exchange euros at a good rate and the hotel is well located. Overall just great!
I find the excessive stressing of not allowing extra people in your room a bit much. I get the importance of enforcing the rule and charging $99 for someone else staying the night (due to that kind of tourism being rampant in Medellín), but if I wanted to have an actual date over, like I could in other hotels, this would probably prevent that.
