Perfect hotel to stay at for excellent service and beautiful views.
Pros:

Hotel Villa Franca was a beautiful hotel, with an amazing location, and the staff was always professional and helpful. Plus, having their shuttle service to and from the hotel was an added bonus!

Cons:

Overall the room was beautiful and clean with a stunning view, but the bathroom was very tiny.

I expected a lot after being ranked a 5 star hotel as I’ve stayed in many and the experience was top tier. I wouldn’t rate this hotel a 5 star for these reasons.

The property is on the highest point of Positano which ideally does give you a great view however walking to the hotel and city center is not by any means easy.. the hotel also doesn’t offer a full day shuttle service where instead they offer it from 8:30AM-12PM at 5:00-8:00PM and 10:00-12:00PM every 30 minutes intervals. So basically if you’re at the beach or stores mid day you’re going to have to climb a dreading 25-30 mins up all the steps in order to get your hotel.

They offer a third party porter service at an extra charge which I believe a five star hotel should have their own services to take your suitcases up/down the city center/hotel for their guests.

The hotel decor makes you feel like you’re staying in an Airbnb or in someone’s home. You don’t get a Amalfi Coast or Positano vibe from staying here it’s a bit too modern in my opinion.

They have a Michelin star restaurant which we have a lot of experience with as well since we have done many chefs tastings, etc. This was by far the worst experience we have a had and every dish that came out was terrible. It’s a 3 dish minimum per person.. and we were hoping we would love it since it was conveniently located in the hotel.

Other than these issues the positives are it’s a clean hotel, very welcoming staff, great views, and a roof top pool.
