A wonderful hotel in the perfect spot in Vienna
Pros:

The Steigenberger Herrenhof is a wonderful hotel with the perfect location in the center of Vienna, which easy access to the Hapsburg palace, most of the great museums and the Opera. We stayed there for 13 nights in a beautiful, large and well appointed suite. We had lovely views over the rooftops. The staff of the hotel is exceptional. They were uniformly helpful, cheerful, and would go the extra mile. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety to chose from. The bar/lounge was a great place to grab lunch, dinner or a snack any time. We will return.

Very warm room (in April!!) without functioning air condition.
Pros:

The hotel is far more "simple" in real life than in photos on Hotel websites online. The staff at the reception were kind but you could barely hear them from several bachelorette parties happening in the lobby.

In our room we realised that the air condition was not working (and the room was very warm). They had no other rooms to give us (and we paid extra to get a better view and larger room).

Frühstück sehr vielfältig, frisch

Cons:

Badezimmereinrichtung: keine Möglichkeit, Badtücher aufzuhängen.
Einmal wurde das Zimmer nicht aufgeräumt, obwohl es während 5 Stunden frei war.

sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal; schönes, sauberes und komfortables Zimmer; gute Lage, nur ein paar Gehminuten vom Stephansplatz entfernt.
hoteleigene Bar mit grosser und feiner Auswahl an Getränken und Snacks, auch Frühstück à la Carte dort erhältlich, sehr gut.
Zusätzlich gratis Wasser auf dem Zimmer, und auch für die ersten Getränke aus der Mini-Bar wurde nichts verrechnet.
alles in allem sehr schönes Hotel mit grossartigem Personal. wir kommen gerne wieder

Cons:

Frühstück-Buffet für 37.- pro Person fanden wir etwas zu teuer - wir haben es aber nicht genommen, daher können wir nichts über das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis dazu sagen.

Superb location in the heart of Vienna, close to almost everything (at walking distance).

Cons:

Although twin beds were requested 1.5 months in advance, the property wasn’t able to provide them and charged us for an upgrade, ostensibly the only solution. For a 5* hotel, there was no turndown service in the evening. Receptionists would ignore you waiting for over 5 minutes while roaming around and handling back office tasks.
