We liked the location and staff very friendly
A lot of young staff training so service slow. Hot tub full of people drinking so opportunity to use it
The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The rooms and facilities were of a very high standard. The restaurant offered an excellent menu for breakfast and dinner. When our travel arrangements changed, the hotel provided an additional night's accommodation at very short notice with great efficiency.
No dislikes. Our experience of the hotel was very positive.

The service in the lounge area where food can be ordered was very slow and disorganised.
Sitting in this part of the hotel was not a relaxing start to our stay. It was shared with a large wedding party and people using the spa facilities walk through in their bathrobes.
The same was true at breakfast time - there were a lot of guests, a wedding party, and a lot of staff who were brisk and polite, but could do nothing about the very long waits for coffee and food.
The buffet area was not well equipped and no one dealt with children unsupervised running around handling food.
The room was OK, and there was a large bathroom, but the shower had black mould and cracks in the tiles.
I raised concerns at check out and a manager met with me and apologised - he took notes - and he explained that part of the problem was a wedding party that had been booked three years ago. He will be feeding back to the team.
Unfortunately his apology and note taking did nothing to improve our experience, or impression of the hotel - future guests may benefit, but I will not be booking to stay at the hotel again.

Fantastic stay as always - lovely staff, great facilities, comfortable and relaxing
It’s a small thing but the new way of ordering drinks in the ballroom in the evening is really quite odd - queuing at a cake counter to pay and then waiting staff trying to find the right customers, drinks being given to the wrong people, overly long waits etc. It makes having a few drinks before dinner overly complicated and isn’t in keeping with the great service and overall ambience of the rest of the hotel. Normal table service would seem much more fitting and wouldn’t actually require any more staff.

We love everything about the Headland! Such a beautiful hotel and the staff are exceptional - we loved the service from Mia and Rowan at the bar - super friendly and take great care in producing quality cocktails for their guests.
Sarah the duty manager was also brilliant. She dealt so well with an issue another guest had caused in their bathroom creating a leak in our room - resolved very quickly and super service on a hugely busy weekend for her and her team!
Only thing I would change is limit children in the spa to reduced hours only. Although the indoor facilities are adult only it’s not the same as having the stunning view outside and on the weekend and school holidays the amount of kids in there is a lot. Maybe have pre-book able sessions for parents to limit this?
The staff were brilliant , always friendly, helpful and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to staying with you again.
The only issue I had was that the Breakfasts (including tea and coffee) and evening meal could have been warmer. That said the food was delicious.

The views are stunning and on a nice day there are lots of areas to sit outside and have drinks and food. The spa is the best I ve encountered in this country, with outside hot tubs and two swimming pools.
Value for money! Excellent breakfast! Cosy double room! The use of the aqua spa before check-in and after checking out. My second visit in 3 months and I'm sure I'll be back very soon. Thank you :)
