Property Description

ATRION hotel welcomes you to a quiet corner in the heart of Heraklion, a short walk from the Historical museum, seafront promenade and Venetian port. Fully renovated in 2004, this modern, minimal-style hotel is right next to Heraklion's vibrant center, with its cafés, shopping center, tavernas and museums but also a short stride from the seashore. The island's main highways can be easily accessed from the hotel, making it an ideal base for discovering the island by car.

Glad we chose this hotel.
Pros:

Good location, nice employee, very clean room and building, excellent service. We are glad we chose this hotel. We had to leave before the breakfast startig time, employees prepared food in a bag for us to carry on the road. The busy city centre is just in walking distance. Highly recommend.

Très bel hôtel où l'on se sent bien
Pros:

Nous avions déjà séjourné dans cet hôtel très bien situé dans le centre d'Héraklion.
Nous avons été surclassés, ce que nous avons fortement apprécié.
Les chambres sont spacieuses et très confortables, et le personnel très accueillant.

Excellent location, facilities and value
Pros:

Excellent breakfast with lots of choices and all freshly made.
Cosy, clean room with very comfortable bed.

We would be happy to recommend this hotel!
Pros:

We loved Atrion Hotel’s excellent location, cleanliness, tasteful design, and delicious food. The friendly and welcoming staff made our stay especially pleasant.

Cons:

The only minor inconvenience was a small but quite bright flashing light on the fire detector above the bed, which disturbed our sleep. Otherwise, everything was excellent!

Pros:

I've been to Crete for at least 5 tours of the island, and the Atrion is where we always spend the first night,
Our first experience back in 2014 was a pleasant one and so it became a tradition. the Hotel is a few minutes on foot from the Bustling heart of Heraklion where the restaurants, pubs and action is.
the breakfast buffet is diverse and appetizing.

Cons:

his year however we did not get a room with a great view, but it didn't matter in our case since it was just one night and we hardly stayed in the room.

Did not like the food. Was no milk in the room to make any tea or coffee even though there was tea and coffee to have . The staff seem to take care of the Germans and the Americans before.us English .

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel, and the level of service exceeded all our expectations!
The location is central, extremely convenient, and close to everything. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, featuring a huge full-length mirror and a balcony with a gorgeous view of the sea. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, with housekeeping cleaning thoroughly every day. There is also a lovely on-site bar with great outdoor seating areas to relax.
The staff’s attentiveness was remarkable. Whenever we asked for extra items, like an electric kettle, reception provided it right away with a smile. One day our toilet had an issue, and the cleaner noticed it immediately—by the time we returned to the room, it was already completely fixed without us even needing to report it.
The breakfast was generous, fresh, and varied, with staff constantly refilling items so nothing was ever missing. A huge highlight was on our departure day: we had to check out at 5:30 AM before breakfast opened, and the hotel proactively offered to prepare takeaway breakfast bags for us. They thoughtfully accommodated my vegetarian diet, packing delicious sandwiches, juice, water, and muffins, which were ready for us right at checkout.
A special shoutout to the evening receptionist who speaks Russian—he was exceptionally polite, welcoming, and consistently went out of his way to help us. We also booked our airport taxi directly through the front desk, and it arrived right on time without any hassle.
Overall, outstanding hospitality, great amenities, and incredible attention to detail. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!
