The hotel is nice and the staff very helpful. The girl at the desk Melody was very helpful.
tres bien
rien a dire c'était parfait
Another great stay at the Mondrian, a Miami staple. Rafael the bellman in the lobby was so accommodating he really made our check in/out process seamless.
This visit started strong with a smooth check in experience featuring glasses of prosecco. The elevator service was quick. The views from both sides of the hotel were great.
Our studio suite was large, but the bed was small. There was enough closet space but no drawers, so unpacking was not possible. The room was clean. The bathroom is designed so that the space to put out anything is at the back end of the sink. The shower had a unique combo light fixture/ showerhead.
The thermostat had a mind of its own. The temperature was always going too high or too low and forgetting the setting.
There is a very nice morning coffee station located near the fitness center. The hotel public areas are lovely.
What is not lovely is the lack of service at the Baia pool club. We did get set up with chairs, towels and an umbrella fairly quickly. But after 30 minutes we still did not get the attention of a server. Worse yet, a guest who had been where we were seated accused us of stealing her chair and towel. We got the attendant involved who ultimately moved us to another spot. Eventually another server walked by, but she was more concerned about if we had a reservation than in taking our drink order. We are much older than most of the pool club guests, and the servers flirting with the others and ignoring us was obvious age discrimination. But there was still a 20% service charge added to the bill.
Very nice stay. Rafael was amazing and very helpful.
My wife and I had an amazing experience celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary. We had a room on the 16th floor, which is considered the penthouse and the views were phenomenal. The entire staff was very professional and courteous to us. My wife made a joke about me to Sandra from security when I was asking her a lot of questions about the beach club. She laughed and answered them with no hesitation. Sandra is definitely an asset to your establishment. We will definitely recommend your hotel to our family and friends.
Good location pool staff were nice and the manager
Staff at reception rude , had to move room as was dirty they weren’t very attentive or helpful
I wanna say thank you for a Samsung and security manager Max about the helping we was in the restaurant stack like two hours. Try toget out. Simpson and Max was very nice help us. I want to say thank you very much. Highly recommended and I will definitely come again, because Simpson and Max, thank you very much guys.
Baia beach club is such a perfect location to grab a great meal and drink. I would recommend sitting at the bar and having Alexandria or Jonas take care of you. They were extremely hospitable and helpful. 10/10 would recommend
Amazing place to stay! Lots of fun activities. Lovely staff. Charolette also goes by Charlie was a fantastic help. She made out stay seemly and enjoyable. Highly recommend Mondrian for your girls trip!
The room was so spacious - a fantastic space to host my girlfriends for my birthday celebration this month. With the exception of construction at the pool area, we truly enjoyed our time there. The overall staff was great, beginning with Christine (Chief Concierge) who was in contact with me prior to my arrival to ensure any requests were taken care of. Luis at the front desk and Jolene at the pool restaurant were amazing as well.
My only callout would be to the conditions of the room and pool area. When you look at the details and cleanliness, the hotel could use some TLC and renovation in some areas.
rafael was amazing and a great host
Luis is the best!!!! Great service from him. Made my stay enjoyable.
Personal amable, buena ubicación, limpio.
Habitacion amplia
Llegué a hacer check out en auto, le comenté al personal de valet parking que dejaría el vehículo por unos 30 minutos y así fue, me cobraron 30 dlls
Fue absurdo el precio
Luis so amazing and great work very prompt and punctual. Service is amazing
Luis is the best!!!!!! Best person ever. Me and my friends had so much fun
The place is great and Luis is also great!
Our recent stay at the Mondrian South Beach was nothing short of appalling.
On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Melody at the front desk, who was attentive and professional. She offered us a paid upgrade to enhance our stay, which we accepted as a family of five. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.
We entered our upgraded room to find it dirty, tired, and generally filthy. Not exactly what you expect after paying extra.
We then headed to the pool, only to find there were no loungers available. Despite “paid beds” sitting there, no effort was made to accommodate guests without charging even more. To make matters worse, there was active construction work on the deck — ripping it up and clearly mid-renovation — something that was never disclosed prior to arrival.
That evening, we returned to the room late, only to discover the requested pull-out bed (which we had asked for at check-in) had not been set up. Five of us were left to squeeze into two beds. Completely unacceptable.
The following day, we were informed that housekeeping wouldn’t clean the room during our stay, as their policy is every three nights. Again, not communicated in advance.
Later that day, things escalated further when my youngest child cut her foot on broken tiles in the room after getting out of the shower. At this point, any patience I had left was gone — this had moved from poor service to a genuine safety concern.
I spoke to the manager that evening, who promised to resolve the issues. In the end, we were offered waived resort fees (despite barely being able to use the facilities due to construction and overcrowding) and $100 off the bill. A token gesture that completely missed the point.
It’s incredibly disappointing that such a strong first impression from Melody was followed by a stay that was so poorly managed and below standard in every way.
Until this hotel starts properly maintaining its facilities and prioritising guest experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid.
