Lack luster-not worth the money. Should’ve gone to Myrtle Beach.
Pros:

When we got there there was dirty fridge, several pillows with no pillowcases. We had a balcony with sliding doors-the door was virtually impossible to open-and when we got it open-there were no chairs to sit outside on patio. And even if we had some-there was only one area to sit bc the other part of the patio constantly dripped water from the upper room-for the money I paid also there is no breakfast options at all. They have a little store with Starbucks coffee and some Starbucks snacks-but when coming with kids I was expecting a breakfast option-I was not at all impressed. However the location was gorgeous. The employees were very kind.

I loved that the hotel was right on the beach!! The area is very walkable and there are a number of great restaurants nearby.

While the hotel was quite expensive in my opinion, it was the most affordable option for our trip.

They make you feel like family
Pros:

After reading negative reviews online I was very skeptical to stay at Tides. I am very happy that I didn’t let it stop me. The location can’t be beat. All the staff were helpful & friendly. And we absolutely loved our room it was impeccable. Room 230 had an ice cold air conditioner & was Conveniently beside the elevator & ice machine which we liked very much. We ate dinner at Pinky’s a couple of times & enjoyed it being onsite. Thank your staff for doing such a wonderful job!!

Beautiful view from room of the ocean.

Cons:

Climate in the room was not comfortable at all. Weather was very hot. But everything, bed, bedding, floor, furniture and any clothing out of luggage was dripping wet from the humidity. Worse nights sleep ive ever had. I never pay $500 a night for a hotel room and I could have stayed 2 nights in downtown charleston for less money. Wish I would have.

Another wonderful stay
Pros:

We absolutely love this property. We were here for the 4th of July. We watched the fire works from the property. Earlier in the day watched Salute to American from the beach. The employees are so friendly and the view is fantastic.

The fact that it was oceanfront.

The elevator was broken both days of our stay and we were on the top floor.
Staff was frustrated about the elevator and the complaints and were not professional.

It’s all about the outdoor areas here! Nice place to enjoy scenery, food and fun

Location, access to beach and vibrant community. We really enjoyed the 24hr services at Bert’s. Pool was nice, smelled fresh and clean in lobby with beautiful artwork.
