Graet spot but some details need attention
Pros:

This is a great place to stay, almost always, though a few points do need attention as I outline below. I have stayed here on many occasions and I have no hesitation rating it a 9 plus overall. It really is lovely, comfortable and a great place to stay. The staff are always excellent at what they do and are a credit to the hotel. Good pool facilities and a nice spacious and comfortable room. Great WiFi. Lovely ambience. Will stay again, I am sure.

Cons:

Unusually, just this time only, a few issues that really should not happen. The shampoo/ bodywash dispenser in the shower was jammed and did not work. Discovered on showering just before leaving, so too late to have it fixed. This is a basic check that should be carried out and quite unacceptable to be faulty. Made showering difficult, a very basic need. Also, the entrance to the pool area was actually filthy. Unacceptable. The cause of this was the very many parents standing there in their outdoor footwear watching their children having swimmimng lessons! Surely they should not be allowed in that area or, at the very least, they should be required to wear the overshoes that are available. But they were standing there in their muddy boots and shoes in some numbers and walking around and chatting to each other. The result was a muddy and filthy floor area that users of the pool needed to walk through and over. Muddy feet in an indoor swimming pool was not what I was expecting. It was dirty and disgusting to be honest and I really cannot understand how the staff there were allowing it to happen. This is the main reason for my low review score which is probably not reflective of the good hotel which I would score higher in normal circumstances.

The hotel was lovely n bright clean n in a really lovely location n the staff were nice n helpfully n would recommend the hotel you friends n family

We thought what could've been better was the choice on d barfood menu n the portions didn't meet the prices for what you got

Another fabulous visit !!
Pros:

We have just spent a few days in our happy place with our family.
We visit Hodson Bay 3 or 4 times a year and it always feels like home to us. The staff are always welcoming and go out of their way to ensure our stay is perfect.
We think that it would be great to offer a loyalty scheme for repeat customers.
We also think that it would be good to have a small outside play area for kids to run around.
Can’t wait to visit again soon.

Amazing Stay at Hodson Bay Hotel
Pros:

I had an amazing stay at the Hodson Bay Hotel. The hotel was spotless, the room was very spacious for me and my family and the hotel staff went above and beyond for us. I have a little girl with Type 1 Diabetes and they put a fridge in the room for her insulin. They also allowed me to stay later on the day of checkout as I had a bit of a medical issue with my daughter that I needed to sort immediately before I left. The staff couldn't do enough, they were respectful, understanding, courteous, kind and very professional. I also had a meal in the restaurant and the food was really tasty probably one of the nicest steaks I've had and I'm very picky with steak. We will definitely be back and this is my new to go to hotel. Thanks again to the amazing team at the Hodson Bay Hotel.

Excellent Review, vetu well deserved
Pros:

All of the staff were extremely polite, helpful and attentive. In particular Charlene who works in the spa, requires recognition for her work, an excellent employee.
The domestic staff who clean the rooms also provide an excellent service.Rooms and all facilities, especially the spa and pool area were very clean.The man from Donegal, (pool manager) promoting a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere to hotel guests and regular spa members.
All food was of a very high standard, huge variety and delicious.
There are many activities to engage in, while staying in this hotel, all part of the wonderful service provided.
It was a very enjoyable experience, very relaxing and I will return soon.
