Great hotel with good food and pub full of atmosphere

A spotlessly clean well situated Hotel with a lovely Bar

Great staff - very friendly and helpful. Must nominate Dawn the receptionist as being especially helpful when we were stranded due to the ferry being cancelled - she found us space in the same rooms again - result!
We stayed in the new rooms and these were clean and warm. Bar was friendly and the food OK for both dinner and breakfast.

Breakfast was great and we liked the location, near shopping and the bus station. We also liked the Bothy Bar

Unsmiling/unwelcoming receptionist followed by poor plumbing ( satisfactorily dealt with by positive staff member quite swiftly)

Nice hotel near the harbour and town centre. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice quiet room with very comfortable beds and powerful showe.

We liked the hotel, liked our room, the staff, etc. But we had a room with an adjoining door and it was paper thin. We could hear the neighbors' conversation, the TV , a sneeze. We also had the misfortune of being right above the pub on a Saturday night. Otherwise, would stay at the Albert again!

No free parking, at the price being charged I would expect free parking

Parking was not for the hotel had to use paid town lot of long term stay a distance away.

Lovely hotel with recently refurbished rooms. Had everything you needed. Comfortable bed and great shower. Very handy for all of the town. Parking options available which were in easy reach of the hotel. Bar was lovely and so was the food.

Absolutely nothing to grumble over here comfortably bed and bedding a bath along with shower with hot water, new hotel clean bright and the staff I met were excellent

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The suite was a very creative design and so comfortable. The staff were amazing in how they made sure we were comfortable. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous in its design which is relatively newly renovated we understood. The management was so helpful . They kept our bags safely until we left for the night ferry. The bar was great and the food at both the bar and restaurant very tasty and reasonable in cost. Also need to mention the staff at Northline ferry who helped us secure comfortable return trip and the tourist information !! A very special place is Kirkwall!!!!

Great! Easy shower to operate. Soft bed. Refreshing water when we got there. The breakfast was freaking awesome.

Accommodations were very comfortable and attractive. Enjoyed the historic ambience, and the walkability of the location. I would definitely stay here again.

Every thing was basically good, staff are nice, hotel is clean a new, the only problem was the noise from the bar and event room kept us up both nights until gone midnight. Not ideal for c£200 a night

The staff went out of its way to make sure the guests’ needs are met. Great location. I’ll stay here again.

A comfortable , enjoyable stay, friendly helpful staff.
Please put a sign for the hotel on the end wall facing car park. Arriving tired off 11pm ferry and following SATNAV to car park it was a problem finding the front door.

Friendly staff. Beautiful room. No issue arriving late on the ferry from Aberdeen. No parking but easy to find free on the road parking nearby. Lovely and plentiful breakfast but as this was not included in my booking we were surprised to discover it was so expensive (£18 each). Fabulous location which means you can walk to everything in Kirkwall and easily drive to anywhere on the main island. Could be a good base for a long stay on Orkney.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, clean. I’ll stay there next time I come to town.
