food was great
Great place, excellent friendly staff, really good breakfast.
Good atmosphere in pub. Great cooked-to-order breakfast
Bathroom tired. Hooks missing so insufficient towel hanging and washbasin plug difficult to manage (Mistletoe room)
Excellent friendly inn right on the pilgrims way and also very dog friendly.. comfortable chalet style accomodation and a lovely traditional bar restaurant
The heater doesn't seem to be adjustable in the room so it's either really hot or off .. maybe I wasn't using it correctly
room was clean and comfortable and dinner in the evening was lovely didnt stay for breakfast because of leaving early but imagine would of been lovely if the food we had in the evening was anything to go by really nice stay and lovely pub would definitely stay again.
no negative remarks at all
Vielen Dank.
Like the layout and the fact that you have separate entrance to the room. Plus for allowing pets.
we spent a night Friday going onto Saturday. Sadly Saturday breakfas starts at 8. Felt like a waste of time as we had a fair distance to drive after and could be on road sooner.
We stay here on business because it's a great, informal environment compared to the larger hotel chains. It has soul, unlike those places, and it also serves great food. We used to travel to here from other hotels just for dinner - it's well worth it.
The rooms are a little dated, but that aside they're fine.
Tolles Essen
We stayed here after spending the day at Leeds Castle (10 minute drive away) and it was the perfect spot to relax by the fire after a long day. Food was excellent. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was beautiful, would be lovely to see the view of the hills when the weather is slightly better. Rooms were clean and spacious. Enjoyed the pub decor and oldie worldie vibe.
No dislikes.
All good, stay there when at work hq, zero complaints.
EV charger not the best.
Location pub and walks
Could not see tv from bed and only 1 chair in 4 person room. And noisy neighbour tried getting into our room 3 times during the night.
An exceptional place to stay and eat, had to give it 4 stars sadly due to extremely rude and aggressive housekeeper.
This is our second time staying and dining here and every time restaurant and bar staff are exceptional, orders taken promptly, food outstanding quality and perfect! Drinks are lovely, cocktails are very good. Very warm, welcoming and cosy environment.
The rooms are beautiful, very clean heaters which heat up the room quickly, fresh towels available very cosy. Perfect valentines get away. Lots of couples and also families here too. The bar is open until late roughly midnight.
Will definitely be returning again next year.
Only negative is housekeeper came to our door as we was late checking out (had a small nap (I wasn’t feeling great) and ended up napping longer than intended, would be happy to pay late check out fee as our mistake) but the door was banged on, no knocking, when we opened we apologised and First Lady was understanding and stated we may need to pay late check out fee and she would speak to her manager. ‘The manager’ (I asked her name but she did not provide it) then came banged on the door and was extremely aggressive and rude and although apologising she was then swearing and getting agitated. This is such a shame as it’s a beautiful place and so much going for it. I hope next time we return we won’t get spoken to in such an aggressive manner.
