Pros:

The house was original and beautifully decorated

Cons:

The number provided by Booking and Google maps was not picking up. I had to wait for 25' for someone to come outside the apartment to give me my keys. The bath had very low water flow. Upstairs windows only had light curtains

Lovely peaceful old property.
Pros:

Great location, minutes from the centre of town but also very peaceful at night. This old house is full of character.

Cons:

Being an old characterful property don't expect mod cons/new appliances. The whole reason for staying here is to appreciate this classic old property.

Pros:

The Kitchen was new, modern and well equipped with popular brands. This was the best place in the entire house. Also the house was spacious and was split in 2 levels with picturesque furniture of local traditional design. The house is "hidden" few minutes walk from Archanes center, with a garden surrounding next to a church. It has 2 external balconies one in each floor.

Cons:

The house's external place needs a lot of beautification in terms of taken care of the plants/ trees and flowers which instead of adding to house beauty create rather a negative affect. Both external balconies were not clean and especially the balcony of the ground floor had also a nasty smell since this part is not isolated completely from external pedestrian street. Also the coach was not comfortable to accommodate the 3rd person. Also bathroom was not in good condition.

Pros:

Beautiful cottage with a real authentic experience. Great location in the old town and the cottage was so cute! Breakfast each morning delivered by Maria was a real standout. Very peaceful stay and getting lost in the streets of Archanes was a lot of fun.

Cons:

The check in process could be a lot easier with more communication prior to arriving. We got lost and no directions were given. Once we got onto Michael he was quick to come meet us. There were a few amenities missing/not working for our stay and we did not get a response from the host- the heating, TV, one light out in the kitchen, no plug for bath (we are travelling with a baby). We understand it is an old cottage so less creature comforts to be expected but addressing these would make for a more comfortable stay.

Absolutely recommended as a place to stay to visit Knossos, and a view to village life in Crete.
Pros:

Beautiful and spacious apartment. Excellent and large Cretan breakfast brought to our room. The owner is friendly and helpful, and the woman who makes the breakfast is very sweet and a good cook. Archanes is a nice quiet town with some lovely tavernas and restaurants. Very close to Knossos archaeological site. The people in the town are super polite and kind.

Cons:

It was a little challenging to find the hotel. Some of that was due to some road repairs in town. All good once you find it and the quiet neighborhood is appreciated.
