Lovely boutique hotel
Pros:

Returned after 5 years and stayed for couple of nights with a friend. Love that it is so small and personal. Always a warm welcome, comfortable room and tasty lounge meal, all you need after a day of shopping. We have treated ourselves to an afternoon tea the next day which was absolutely delicious. Will be back again, hopefully sooner than since last visit!

A peaceful end to our Scottish Road trip!
Pros:

We travelled here on our recent trip to Scotland and this was one of our highlights before flying home. Considering it is in the city centre the property has a feeling of peacefulness and calm. We did treat ourselves and indulge in the indulgence package 😀 Can honestly say it was one of the best afternoon teas that we have had! Our room had the most amazing shower and bathroom downstairs, a real treat. Thank you for taking care of us.

Great find
Pros:

Decadent and delightful. Ideal location for exploring Inverness. Attentive staff always a friendly face at the door to greet you. The manager was helpful with recommendations for all the hot spots in town. Hotel was clean and had everything we needed. Cocktail bar and the selection of whisky was our favourite part. Great find we will be back.

Sleeping with bugs
Pros:

on first impressions the place was beautiful. great location. but on further inspection the room was riddled with wood louse. in the bathroom & seating area, pretty much every square inch our room had multiple wood louse some dead and alive. obviously been there for some time also. Thick dust between bed and bedside table. Dusty drawers. would NEVER stay again or advise anyone to stay. poor show shown by management who all they had to was sorry and hand us a tin of bug spray. Told the room was thoroughly cleaned before but obviously not, this amount of bugs do not appear a hour after cleaning!? No offer for us to vacate the room for them to clean it/remove bugs. Not an offer of any sort of compensation or good will gesture as an apology! Seemed totally unbothered on checking out upon seeing our evidence so possibly a reoccurring complaint. Not a 5 star hotel!!

Comfortable, well-appointed Luxury in a Decadent Suite
Pros:

Spent three nights at Rocpool in a Decadent Suite. It was large, had sumptuous bedding & cushions with two very large armchairs. We enjoyed the open-plan shower and good sized bath located downstairs in the suite. Staff were very friendly, smartly dressed and nothing too much trouble. Armand, Gambhir and Lennon really went the extra mile. While at the hotel we enjoyed Afternoon Tea with Prosecco as well as the choice available on the menu for dinner which was served between 12 noon and 8:30pm. It’s very central so great for shopping, it’s easily walkable. We will be returning in the future and would highly recommend.

Slightly underwhelmed.
Pros:

Good breakfast. Eccentric tea/tasting spoons option in late afternoon. Good bar food.

Cons:

Hot water took a long time to run to the bathroom. The phone in the room didn’t have any instructions about how to reach reception. Wasn’t sure the vertiginous expense was worth it.

Relaxing and quiet, lovely hotel unfortunately falling short of 5 stars.
Pros:

Staff were very efficient and friendly. The location, hot tub, balcony, breakfast and hotel public areas were great.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our ‘extra decadent’ room did not live up to our expectations. We have stayed in a few 5 star hotels, but this fell short. Behind bed was very dusty and had red splatters up the wall (hotel told us after they were waiting for a decorator). The hot tub was lovely as was the area outside, but again above the outside door was pretty filthy (forgot to take photos) & needed a good power wash.
