always loved scotts best place to stay since my husband stopped driving we come direct from cobh to killarney and just a small walk along the road staff are brilliant and breakfast amazing

the location and the rooms were lovely but also the food down stairs was top class

The room was clean and comfortable .
No hot water, unfortunately, when we arrived. We notified the reception and a plumber came about an hour later. There was a plumping issue before we arrived that caused this. So before we wanted to have a shower we had to let the water run for a bit. Never really came up to temp. That was the only annoying thing. The hotel could really do with doors that only open with a hotel key card when you get to the floor. As anyone can just walk up the stairs or use the lift and wonder about outside the rooms. I had an issue where I (a young women alone) was walking back to my room and I walked past a man who was intoxicated. I walked around the corner to my door, looked back down the hall and I could see his shadow walking back. Quickly ran in the room and locked the door in a panic. I looked out the peephole and he was standing with his back facing the door to my room. Rang my partner and told him and he ran up the stairs to me. He ran past the man walking away as he didn't know it was him outside the door. I think he heard me ringing my boyfriend as only then he started to walk away. My boyfriend went down and told reception immediately and they were actually very concerned. Had security sweep the floors to look for him. It was bank hol weekend so he could've been at the bar I'm not sure. Nothing else happened.
Location was excellent, breakfast was very good, staff friendly, property was clean.
Beds could be a bit more comfortable. Windows more sound proof from the outside noise.
Very comfortable stay everything was provided from tea and coffee in the room with a kettle as well as toiletries and bottles of water
