Elevators were BOTH out of order. Pool was out of order. Laundry was out of order. Room was grubby. There was a pervasive nasty smell in the halls and the stairwell. No breakfast. I would've had a better experience sleeping in my car.
Let's start with the positives: cambria boasts an absolutely fantastic location. It's perfectly situated for the nice view and attractions , with easy access to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. You really can't beat the convenience. The staff were also consistently pleasant and helpful, always ready with a smile and quick to address any concerns.
However, the hotel itself has some significant drawbacks. The most glaring issue was the size of the beds in the room. They were surprisingly small, making for a less-than-comfortable night's sleep, especially for two people sharing a double bed. Beyond that, the lack of complimentary breakfast felt like a missed opportunity, and the fact that the elevators were out of service for a portion of the stay was a major inconvenience. Plus, the hot tub being unavailable was a further disappointment.
In conclusion, while the location and staff are definite assets, the undersized beds and various amenity issues detract from the overall experience. If you prioritize location above all else and don't mind compromising on comfort, Cambria might be an option, but be aware of its limitations.
I arrived on the 23rd and was given the keys to my room. When I exited my room a few minutes later, I realized the door didn't seem to fully click shut. Upon investigating, I found that the room did not need a key to access it because it never fully locked. I went to the desk and asked for them to move my room, which they did. When heading to my second room, I passed a bra just laying in the hallway. Later that evening, I went out to the restaurant after it opened and waited almost an hour. I was never served, I never even saw an employee. The woman the desk saw me waiting there and said nothing so eventually I left. This morning, while getting ready to check out I found a bed bug on the wall of my room. When brought to the desks attention, they did not seem surprised by this. In spite of this, getting a refund was made nearly impossible. They kept making me call a third party who kept me on hold for over an hour in total, and the hotel would do nothing to help me. This caused me to miss breakfast and the start of my work day. Under no circumstances would I ever stay here if I had the choice again.
We stayed at Cambria Nov.28th-30th. The room was nice!
During our stay… the pool and hot tub were green with stuff floating in it!! Gross! We are still waiting on them to reimburse our incidental deposit of $100! This is a week later and after at least a half dozen phone calls we have been told it’s coming and nope nothing! There is no manager for 3 days to return a phone call or answer questions! We have stayed in hotels MANY times throughout the years and this by far is the poorest excuse for management!
From the time I walked inside this facility it appeared to be nice my family and I arrived around 245am we got a room that toilet was not cleaned and would not flush we noticed immediately because we do a road trip so we had to go to the restroom the room was very outdated the bathroom was very out dated and it didn’t look clean enough to stay in but again it was in the middle of the night so I requested another room I had bags and I had children we ran around with the staff members trying to find a suitable room for the next couple of hours because I wanted to end my stay the at 11am check out based on the experience we were already having. The next day there was no supervisor available so it prompt us to have to stay for the remainder of the day the pool was dirty as well but that is the only reason I literally booked this hotel so that was not cool and then when the night came I came down to get a drink after a long adventurous day with my children and they had displayed this wonderful holiday drinks and I requested one I was told by the bartender since there was not a lot of customers he was not going to be able to make my drink but he can offer me a beer which I don’t drink immediately I felt like this hotel advertisement and service again was off and picking this hotel was a poor decision the outside looks nice but this hotel is like being in a subway with your children it is not clean please make your choice wise the manager or supervisor was not present and the staff was very nasty we stayed here a day and a half and I looked for my family and I another hotel which I would’ve wished me stayed all along.
The outdated dirty rooms that and the poor service there was no supervisor available for the 2 days that we stayed
The room was nice and the front desk worker was so sweet and helpful
the pool and hot tub was very dirty and i ended up getting a really bad ear infection from the water
Staff were super friendly. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Very modern features in the room . The only negative is you have to pay extra for breakfast.
My wife and I stayed at the Cambria Polaris in RM 221 on Saturday to Sunday, September 13-14. Daytime temperatures reached 86 degrees. The air conditioning failed to lower the temperature on Saturday evening and we needed to lie on the bed with no covers on and the window open (to the extent possible) before the temperature eventually became tolerable enough for us to fall asleep early the following morning.
We were told to contact the manager on the following Monday for compensation since neither maintenance nor an alternate room was available that evening. I attempted to contact the manager several times by phone but the VM did not accept messages, so I sent an email asking the hotel to please provide us with at least a partial refund of the cost of our stay. I received no response.
The entire hotel was hot. No air circulating anywhere but in your room. Sitting in the lobby bar was unbearable
Great prices for the suites, the air conditioner was kinda loud but other than that, it was a beautiful place to relax after long days of meeting my s/o’s family for the first time. Great bar, snacks weren’t too overpriced, nice pool, super quiet. Bathroom was beautiful and had a speaker built in, great for a one-woman concert that doesn’t bother your neighbors. Would definitely stay here again.
Worst Hotel Ever
This hotel is a complete nightmare. The staff is incredibly rude and have no clue how to treat guests. Our room was filthy – dirt everywhere, the bed sheets were disgusting and had clearly not been changed from previous guests, and the bathroom was full of hair. To make matters worse, the front desk yelled at me for no reason. These people are unprofessional
Room was very dirty. Oily handprints on the headboard. Trash under furniture. Dirty washcloth in the shower. Ants on desk and walls. Saw staff spraying bug killer in room next door and the hallway. TV was disconnected, had to reattach two cords after troubleshooting myself. No response from staff to my reply to your “how was your sleep?” morning text.
Bed was very uncomfortable and the ac didn't really work in our room
The room had a terrible smell -- like mold from a flooded room/bathroom. It was terrible. It was a handicap-accessible room and the toilet paper roll holder was broken, making it impossible for someone to use if indeed in a wheelchair. The bed was so soft that my daughter and I would wake up rolled into the middle. It was a 4-star that really was much closer to a 1.75-star. The pool had trash floating in it.
Very happy within overall experience. From check in to check out, exceeded my expectation. Hotel was very nice, room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Definitely would recommend and would stay again.
Very clean! Comfortable beds.
