We had a wonderful experience here. The location can't be beat. It's as if you are staying in the soul of Boston. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean. Just a heads up, the Queen size beds have very small mattresses. Not like a Queen at home, so plan accordingly.
Cafe is awesome! Super friendly staff, fantastic coffee and food.
Customer service poor at hotel. Lack of refrigerator and no ice machines. Room had no soap and we waited 14 hours and 3 requests for them to supply it.
Room Was supposed to be a Harbor view NOT aa Partial view!
This hotel charged 5 star prices but provides 3 star service.
No concierge and an EXTRA $35 PER DAY for internet and gym whether or not you use it. Rooms were nice and clean but priced at 3xs normal rate because of special events. I don't think i would stay here again. Their app was broken and wouldn’t process a password change. Wasted a lot of time because of this.
Those with disabilities/ADA should stay elsewhere. Problems across the board, staff listen to you but fail to follow up and fix. Staff says sorry, but FAIL to fix after promising to do so. We are told an adjacent building is open, we go over, its closed. Back to the desk, told to go to diff door, we go over, locked. Email trail for dinner reservations in my hand, but staff cancelled them, care so little for customers, staff never told us. ADA room with shower shooting water out the handles bottom side, no fridge (promised one), NO SOAP!, non-working elec outlets, no hand towels, finally desk manager at checkout says she will refund hotel stay and send me email within 15 mins...it has now been 2 days. Two pages of line items for one added fee after another, and another, yet staff are dropping the ball repeatedly? Then gaslighting excuses! Very unprofessional, very juvenile. I have had better service at youth hostels.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious
My husband and I stayed at Battery Wharf Hotel for Sail Boston 2026. It was the perfect location. The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. We have stayed here before and we will definitely be back!
We stayed during the weekend of the Tall Ships - and was the wharf for the ship turnaround. They were EXCEPTIONALLY prepared not only with staffing, but security. Upon FRIDAY check in, we were given (and put on) wristbands for Saturday for security reasons, to ensure guests had access and that the general public had limited access.
The staff was AMAZINGLY friendly. Even though there were TONS of people, each staff person treated us as though we were the only one - such individualized attention.
They allowed us an amazing experience - allowing my 87 yr old dad to watch the Tall Ships with the comforts of a comfortable chair,
The price for my room did not reflect the amenities provided. No hand or body soap, no small refrigerator, and no room slippers. The only luxury item was the bathrobe and I'll add the very comfortable bed. That's it. Nothing else makes this hotel above-and-beyond a 4-star hotel. Yet, I paid double the rate- $775 for one night. I guess I was paying for the close proximity to Boston harbor, which, by the way, is accessible to the public. I stayed here because of the Sail Boston event. Otherwise, no other reason to stay here in the future. There are many others far better for less price.
Hotel was great and great location.
On site resturant was not so good. Breakfast buffet was ice cold with no heating elements
Great location
Add on fees, ridiculous fee to park added another 100/night. Fees are not obvious when booked.
This is not a high end hotel like I think they want you to believe. The $35 daily fee is basically just charging you for stuff that hotels used to be include and in general is very irritating. The room was nothing special. It appears there was perhaps a fridge but now there is just a big hole in the dresser. We wished we had a fridge multiple times with the different pastries and food in the area. The bathroom doors are like the barn doors that used to be popular but didn't shut all the way so "mind the gap". It is in a nice area and we enjoyed the independent Cafe Amalfi that the hotel includes as a place to eat.
We absolutely LOVED the Battery Wharf! We had a junior suite facing the water in building 5 and it was great! I was a little worried based on other peoples reviews but, I found the poor reviews to false or one offs. We will definitely stay here again.
I specifically booked early, so I would ensure having the space I wanted. However, when I arrived, I was placed in another room entirely, without prior notice and it was right next to the elevator.
The Battery Wharf Hotel is one of our favorites whenever we visit Boston. The views from the rooms are beautiful. The staff is always friendly and willing to help in any way. We very much appreciated the fruit flavored water available on our arrival. Besides the views, the size of the bathroom is nicest feature. There is a free-standing shower and bathtub and nice size vanity. The hotel is within walking distance of the North End, our favorite place to eat!
This was our second stay with them and just like the first we were very impressed with the staff, property and location to everything. We will be back again on our next visit to Boston.
Perfect location
Our room had a parking view and it was not in a main building
