Welcoming, homely feel, fabulous breakfast & we had evening meal too which was delicious
Pros:

Lovely, warm greeting, relaxed atmosphere, made very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, a big, grand property, with the quirkiness of a big, grand property!!

Pros:

Great peaceful location with plenty walking spaces with our dog. Very dog friendly hotel. Great breakfast!

Cons:

The room was very warm, however there was a fan and the bedroom window was open. The bathroom window didn't appear to open which may have helped the air circulate better. We were only staying one night, so this was a small issue. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Pleasant stay in a traditional inn
Pros:

Oldie-worldie place with a lived in and comfortable appearance. Enjoyed the free biscuits and the nice breakfast. Staff were great and very friendly.

Pros:

Nice, cosy and clean hotel. Very dog friendly with polite and helpful staff. The dinner and breakfast were both very tasty.

Cons:

The only negative was that the room was very hot because of the warm weather. Even with the window open and the fan on, it was still too warm.
