Super clean loved the property
Was really nice location .
Stay here every time I come to Miami love the pools and service. And the beds are soooo cozy. Nice windows when it rains. There’s a deli market next door with full on Caribbean and soul food plates are $17 feeds 2.
The staff were amazing super sweet, and accommodating. Only issue I had was we set out for dinner at 9:30 at the restaurant inside of riviera and it was closed at 9:30 they wouldn’t serve us . They close at 11 though
It was hot in the room despite turning on the AC- the AC is not a central AC so it was not enough to make the room cold.
Also the parking was very expensive around the hotel ($50 for 12 hours).
Overall, the room/hotel did not look like the advertised pictures and was a disappointment.
The room was fine however there's recirculated pool water which was dirty. I constantly had to ask for room towels
I’m from Miami, so staycations is what I like to do for my bday celebration from time to time. I was reminded why I never stay in South Beach. $30 resort fee plus tax a day for what again? The pool was GREEN, the tv was static and not working properly. Front desk handed me a dental kit while housekeeping was not aware they provide dental kits. The elevator was down all day on a Monday. And what hotel charges an extra $25 after only asking to check out late at 12pm? The ladies working at the front desk that check out morning of September 30 were rude and unwelcoming. I do not recommend this property. It’s a money funnel. It is not worth it at all. So many better hotels in Miami. I feel scammed. Thanks for making my birthday morning not so great. I’ll especially like to thank your rude staff that morning for not at least giving the courtesy of a 12pm late check out. I work in a corporate offices of a high scale luxury hotel, and this was extremely appalling experience. From the dirty pool, broken tv, rude women at the front desk, unprofessional and poorly trained. I would never come back.
I love this place every time I come to Miami I stay here see u next time
Property was not like the pictures showed!! Definitely not what I expected!! We was there for 5 days & 4 nights!! The air conditioning went out day one & the vent was leaking water was everywhere!! They sent maintenance to so call fix it but it wasn’t fixed, vent still was leaking & the room temp was never under 80 degrees!! They gave us fans but it was only cool if you was sitting right under the fan!! I enjoyed the city but absolutely hated the stay at Riviera!!
The hotel itself was nice, cute and clean. My experience was tarnished by the front desk employee named Marilyn. She was rude, angry and had an attitude. I was checking in at 7 am on a Saturday and had made reservations for Friday night check in knowing that i would not be able to check in so early in the morning. I paid for a day (Friday) that I knew i wasn't going to arrive until the next day. Out of hundreds of other hotel's, resort, air bnb's I chose yours. Only to be greeted with a disgruntled employee. I tried to explain my situation, I had called on Friday evening and spoke to Walter to explain my early arrival the following morning and he was going up leave a note to advise the morning staff. But Marilyn just rudely and sternly advised that check in was at 4pm. She didn't let me finish my sentence. After she realized that I had reservations she continued to check me in. She accused me of not saying good morning to her after I returned the same attitude she had and was giving me..excuse me. Am I an employee of the Riviera? If she doesn't like dealing with customers then she is in the wrong position. She gave me a room that was a lower category that I had paid for. I went back to her to tell her that I had paid for the 1 bedroom suite with living room. She said that was all she had. I requested to speak to a Manager because I refused to be treated poorly from her going forward. I worked with Opal who made the room change to the room I paid for. I wouldn't stay agai
Everything great had a good time
Excellent... balcony is brilliant
First time in miami and this hotel was perfecr and close to everything we needed. Hotel staff was great and very friendly, would definitely stay again here.
Excellent and highly recommend!
Property was perfect for my vacation. Check-in was quick and friendly. There were a few quirks with my key not working once or twice and I had to wait one day to get my room straightened out, but I enjoyed my stay. It was within steps to Collins Ave and the beach, allowing me to hang out and enjoy the beach at sunrise. There is lots to do, including the Miami Convention Center, Botanical Garden, and lots of food and shopping. If anything there were tiny details in the room that could have used attention, but I was otherwise comfortable and feel this is a jewel of a location to invest in. Great for solo travel.
When I went to go and check in after everything was already prepaid, they asked me for a $34 resort fee, which I thought was just ripping me off since I prepaid everything
There was a strange smell in our room, the smell was a mold or mildew smell, and rotten eggs. The ceiling look like as if it’s growing mold on it, not sure if it was made that way but I doubt it. The floor was very wet and moist our whole stay. When we first checked in we had towels but there weren’t any small face towels, when I asked for face towels I was only given 2 towels after we had been there for 2 days already. Every time we left and came back we noticed that housekeeping entered our room but didn’t clean just took towels and didn’t replace them, if they did it would be all big dry towels no face towels. The restaurant that’s connected to the hotel the food was horrible and the 2 female waitresses were very rude, and had very bad attitudes because they had to do their job. I asked the front desk for a manager and was told that they don’t do business with them. The overall room was okay despite the horrible smell and no face towels in our room upon check in and also the floor being moist and wet our whole stay. Me personally wouldn’t stay here again the next time I visit Miami.
There was mold in the room
After booking this hotel (due to other hotels randomly closing their pool), we learned that their rooftop pool was
Cute hidden gem however walls are thin could hear nosing ppl walking on the room unobtrusive , very old property needs updating, hall way corridors had old musk structure stench smell , pool area nice looking however needs cleaning daily.
