The Ixian Grand & All Suites - Adults Only

This is a lovely hotel with everything you need to chill for a few days. The food in the all inclusive is nice without being wow and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Downsides are that the pool is very cold, the hote is quite remote so it is a cab to get anywhere worth visiting and being a gym bunny I thought the gym was very basic.

Overall, I’d say a 7 out of 10. Firstly, my usual gripe on 5-star ratings. There is no official yardstick so can only compare with others rated as 5-star. This just isn't - maybe a 4 at best?.
Room construction / layout / materials quality not 5-star. Pools / reception area close though, very nice.
All inclusive : Food not great and repetitive, drinks quality below average and the usual watered-down variants. Restaurant felt like a school dinner hall after the first couple of nights and having to wait for an outside table quickly became boring.
Nightly entertainment variable (and on weekly repeat loop…)
Managed to get a sunbed at anytime (unusual and a plus) but pools were cold (sea was warmer).
Beach small but nice view, rocky though so couldn’t just walk into sea bare-footed.
Staff generally OK – reception / reception bar and cleaners all good, others a bit perfunctory.
Our 2nd try at all-inclusive and probably our last, the lack of choice, quality of food / drink; lack of individuality and feeling of being tied into the facility not really worth the perceived value for money.
We did meet / hear several groups who were on their multiple return to this hotel so for some it clearly hits the mark.

Everything was so beautiful and the staff was super friendly.

Thought we would give this hotel a second chance following our first visit in 2018.
First instance, reception staff were lovely and welcoming. We had a deluxe sea view room. The cleaners are definitely the heroes of the team.
Whilst the room was clean, the decor and furnishings were tired. Shower was scratched and worn.
Most alarming was the glass balcony only had 2 screws at one end!!
We never had a hot meal. Always luke warm. It was like eating in a canteen. Nobody ever asked if we enjoyed the food. We have lost some weight for sure.
If you were a custo.er of the deluxe pool rooms then you were lucky to have sampled the 2 onsite Restaurants, however people we spoke to said they were rushed.
The Managers walk around but we never saw them engage with guests. Sat on phone in lobby area. Dirty scratched floor
I wished I had never gone back and stuck to my own review from 2018. Definitely NOT 5 star 3/4 at best.

Private pool and suites restaurant very good.

4 Nights in Rhodes, comfort bed, very friendly and accommodating staff. Buffet options vary daily and not bad for a buffet meal. Rooms a little dated and shower blocked, other than that minor hick up, everything else good. Great room with amazing view of the sunsets.

This hotel was very clean and professional. All of the workers were friendly and nice. We had a room with our own pool which was the best part about the resort. The resort and beach were always kept clean. The food was good as well.

We’ve just returned from a week at this resort and overall had a fantastic time. The standout for us was the excellent service – staff were consistently attentive, friendly, and eager to help. The atmosphere throughout the resort is quiet and very relaxing, which made it the perfect place to unwind.

One of the real perks was the variety of dining options available for suite guests. Having access to several à la carte restaurants added a nice level of variety and quality to our stay. Our favourite by far was Milonges, the Greek restaurant, which offered delicious dishes in a lovely setting. However, it’s worth noting that if you’re not staying in a suite, dining in an à la carte restaurant is limited to once per stay leaving you with the buffet only on all other days, which might get repetitive.

On the downside, the drinks were underwhelming for a 5-star resort. Cocktails were mostly pre-made with a limited selection, which was a bit disappointing. Another minor issue was the cleanliness of the pools. Even the private pools had a visible build-up of sunscreen around the edges, which could be improved.

That said, these were small issues in what was otherwise a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We’d definitely recommend this resort to others – especially suite guests – and would happily return in the future!

Excellent location, short shuttle bus ride to Rhodes Old Town, or a 15 minute taxi ride.

Beautiful hotel, and amazing staff.
2 staff members in particular really made our stay more enjoyable.
Eugene in the restaurant, who regularly served us, was very friendly and great to have a bit of a chat with.
Razvan, who was regularly bringing us drinks to the beach was also brilliant. Always seemed very happy and also great to have a chat with when he had a spare minute.
Both of these guys deserve full recognition of the great service they were providing. They really helped making our holiday that much better.

We had an amazing stay here. Everything from the food to the beauty to the service was perfect. Would definitely recommend to others coming to Greece.

Gorgeous hotel and definitely 5 star

Fantastic hotel - staff are exceptional, particularly Sophia on reception desk, extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful . The whole resort being spotlessly clean and surrounded by beautiful gardens. I would recommend this 100%.

This was by far the worse holiday experience I have ever encountered, the hotel was very tired and certainly not a 5star nor the luxury experience I was hoping for, the hotel has limited entertainment, is located in a dire, poorly lit, dirty area where access with taxi is limited as the hotel does not provide a service for ordering a taxi home, the food was repetitive and sub standard, the food choice for a vegetarian was pizza or chips each day, the all inclusive drinks package was served in plastic cups and the choice was non branded and extremely limited, the wine choice was a colour! The queue for food and drinks was unacceptable often taking 20-30 minutes for service, the hotel and rooms were tired, leaks in bathrooms and rooms poorly lit/on the border of being extremely dangerous, the whole experience was completely awful to the point we booked flights home 48 hours before our original departure date. Would not recommend and usually do not provide a negative review but felt it was that poor I should express my opinions.
