Miramare

We enjoyed our stay at Albergo Miramare. Some small details could have made a difference however, e.g., there are plugs by both sides of the bed but both are Italian plug sockets, not the standard EU sockets so our adapters wouldn’t work here. There was no full length mirror in the whole room, the only mirror being in the bathroom. We had a huge balcony but this overlooked the pathway, whereas we thought our room would be seafront, especially as that is what we had paid for and what was shown in the images on Booking.com. I wish the images on the hotel sites were reflective of the actual room types.

The breakfast was great, and the staff were really friendly.

The view. The view. The view. Located near great restaurants and good shopping. Far enough away from busiest areas to be quiet, but close enough to the beach and best top areas to be convenient. The staff is very lovely. The porters are stronger than any giant. I would stay here again, for sure.

Lovely stay …a picture perfect sea front water view; fabulous breakfast with eggs, bacon/sausage, pastries, salad, cheeses, fruit, fresh bread, hard boiled eggs, salmon, etc. all on their sea front restaurant; the staff is simply amazing; area is fabulous - like a postcard but it is Positano so bring comfy shoes and good lungs for all the steps. There Is no lift so pack light but there is a sweet porter that will carry luggage to/from room. Good WiFi; near oodles of restaurants- steps required :) housecleaning every day.

Hotel Miramare was so beautiful my wife had tears. The food was great for breakfast and dinner. The hotel has a beautiful pool as well that was great when the town flooded with people and the temps got high. It was, as all places in Positano, required to walk steps to get to and from town and events. The history of the hotel was really interesting and it was apparent in the designs and decor. All of this said, the best part of Miramare was the people. At meals, asking for help with direction or plans, getting luggage to / from hotel and at every meal their smiles were the only thing better than the view from our balcony.

Not to far from restaurants, shopping, and the port. We had a wonderful time. Staff were very nice and helped arrange reservations prior to arrival. The view was fantastic and the rooms had an Italian charm. We brought our 2 kids without a problem. We would stay again.

Parked the car with their valet service. Together with their valet guy we took photos of the car. It was actually his idea.

When I checked out to grab the car, I noticed a large scratch. It was deep. Some sort of a concrete wall scratch.

I showed him, and he truly didn’t care. He said don’t worry, they have cameras. So I showed him before and after photos.

I then called the hotel supervisor. He didn’t care either.

Overall nobody cares.

I’ve filed an insurance claim with the hotel. We shall see what’s next…

What an amazing hotel! Views were incredible.

This hotel has terrible access. Over 70 stairs to get there . No elevator , they help you with your bags but its very hot outside and people had a hard time climbing up and down the stairs to get to the main rd where all the restaurant are or to go the beach
There is no access by car . It kinda ruined our vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Miramare in Positano. The location was perfect — close enough to everything without being too high up the hill. While there were a few steps to reach the hotel (as expected in Positano), it was far more manageable compared to many other places in the area.

The view from our room was absolutely stunning — waking up to that iconic Positano coastline every morning was unforgettable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to help and made us feel right at home. They made it one to remember for us on such a special occasion!

We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Positano!

This beautiful property is perfectly located in the middle of Positano making it a perfect oasis to base yourself for all Positano has to offer. Staff are unbelievable and couldn’t be more helpful. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious and the dining room is absolutely stunning. Worth every cent.

It is always challenging to find accomodations for our family of 6, especially in Europe, so we were excited to find the apartment at the Albergo Miramare. We spent several delightful days there in July 2025 and it exceeded our high expectations. The rooms were beautifully decorated and well appointed, and there were gorgeous views from the master bedroom and the large terrace where we ended up spending a lot of our time. The hotel is well situated on the lower part of the Positano hills - while there are stairs to climb to get to the hotel from the main part of the town and beach, we found them very manageable and part of the Positano experience. At several points other travelers commented how lucky we were to be staying at that location as we entered the hotel and they continued their upward climb to places higher up. The breakfast buffet was delicious with varied options and served in a beautiful room overlooking the harbor. The staff was unfailingly polite and helpful, often anticipating our needs. Overall, a wonderful stay! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we return to Positano.

I stayed at Miramar in Positano for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect — just a short walk to the famous beach. My room was clean, spacious, and had a stunning sea view.
The staff were warm and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh pastries and local products.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a scenic stay on the coast.

I would definitely stay here again.
