A fabulous retreat away from the bustle of Siena.
Pros:

We were a large family group and were thoroughly spoiled by all the staff at La Certosa. The facilities are excellent, being just a 10 minute drive into the walled city of Siena. The food was delicious and the bar run by mixologist Antonio was excellent. The staff were attentive and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay so special.

Cons:

We loved all of it!

J’ai TOUT aimé !
Le personnel est super accueillant. La déco est magnifique — de l’art partout —, les espaces sont généreux, le jardin est un vrai havre de paix… et même les autres clients participent à cette belle ambiance.

On s’y sent immédiatement bien, comme dans un lieu à part.
Il y a beaucoup d’espace pour lire, écrire, rêver… ou simplement se poser.

J’y retournerai avec grand plaisir pour y passer plus de temps.
Un lieu unique, où l’on se sent juste bien.

Une expérience très agréable a Sienne
Pros:

L’accueil, la gentillesse du personnel, le restaurant et le petit dejeuner dehors fabuleux, jardin somptueux, et domaine historique (ancien monastère à l’entrée de Sienne). Nous avons été upgradé dans une suite et avons pu visiter l’église du 17e siècle incluse dans le monastère.

Pros:

An amazing place with truly personal attention to guests’ wishes and needs. The staff is very attentive, aware of your expectations, and provides full, genuine care throughout the stay.
The entire environment, both inside and outside, is incredible and very well maintained. The bed and overall room quality are perfect and ensure a very comfortable stay.
I will definitely plan to come back and would gladly recommend this place.

Beautiful restored building in a rural location, quiet and comfortable, but…
Pros:

Location was excellent as was the fine restored monastery. Room was comfortable without being exceptional and not very large. Quiet location.

Cons:

Room was acceptable but not spacious. The lack of two chairs to sit on was astonishing when there are two guests using the room. Cleanliness was acceptable but a build up of limescale around the bathroom sink was poor, cobwebs around the ceiling in bathroom and bedroom. The complimentary slippers had been previously used by a former guest which is not acceptable. When these shortcomings were mentioned they were rectified with an apology but I feel they fall short of the standard expected in a five star hotel.

직원들 모두가 친절했습니다. 내부 인테리어나 소품은 정말 인상 깊었습니다. 아침 식당은 정말 인테리어나 음식 모두 훌륭했습니다. 저녁을 먹을 수 있는 식당도 물론 좋았습니다. 특히, 우리 두 아이들을 예뻐해주셔서 감사합니다. 제공해주신 택시 서비스도 만족스러웠습니다. 특히 피엔차로 가는 택시 기사님이 정말 친절하고 주변 장소에 대해서도 잘 알려주셨습니다.

This was the best hotel stay we've ever had. The concierge and general front desk team were exceptionally helpful, the wine testing with Antonio was FABULOUS, and the outdoor area and view of the Tuscan countryside was absolutely divine. Grazie!
