I will recommend this hotel to friends. Its a bit expensive but i think it was worth it. Lovely staff - every one of the

I read reviews carefully and this have never had a negative experience but I would not recommend this hotel.
Pros:

The shower drain was completely clogged and the tiny room flooded in 90 seconds including the carpet . I had to move rooms after unoacking and hanging up wet laundry. The front desk person offered no apology and behaved as though she was inconvenienced. The move took 3 hours and I missed my dinner reservation and all my evening plans. I was not compensated.

The hotel is beautiful and historical, but my room was cramped and not very funcional. At €390 per night, i felt rioped off. I had just left a very nice and less expensive hotel in central London with great service and ambience and the contrast was striking. I have never left a negative review despite many months traveling in Europe.

Mostly comfortable stay in pretty boutique hotel
Pros:

Location was great — central Amsterdam but on a quiet canal street. Complimentary coffee, cookies, and sweets was a nice touch. Decor is unique and fun. Lots of comfortable seating adjacent to lobby where you can enjoy your drink and snack.

Cons:

Lifts are tiny and very slow. Bathtub very high making it a big step in to shower. Ceiling shower head was a bit useless — had to use handheld if we wanted some pressure. Very noisy at night — not street noise, but perhaps heating/cooling units?

Lovely Room, Great Location, Would Stay Again
Pros:

Hotel Estherea was a delight. The location couldn’t have been better, and my room was both perfectly comfortable and beautifully decorated. The entire hotel has a charming boutique feel with thoughtful design throughout. I especially loved the guest lounge—those coffee machines were a lifesaver. I’d happily stay here again.

J'ai adoré le service, la décoration élégante de l'hôtel. La localisation centrale.
Le fait que café et petits gâteaux succulents soient all inclusive dans les tarifs de l'hôtel.

This hotel is elegant, unique and cozy. Even my young adult boys wanted to stay in and enjoy the atmosphere!
Pros:

The rooms were gorgeous with custom luxurious bedding, drapes, etc. They had a coffee machine and sweet treats in the lobby and plenty of space to cozy up with a book. It was in the heart of town overlooking a canal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

I had booked three single beds but got a different configuration with a double bed and a daybed. It wound up working out fine and I’m glad we stayed there.

It is rare that I ever really want to spend time in a hotel and just enjoy the atmosphere and the comfort and beauty of a place as I did in this hotel. It is absolutely stunning, warm and welcoming and very comfortable.

Absolutely wonderful
Pros:

Absolutely perfect location. Walkable to everything! The amenities were fantastic, the people were wonderful, the place was so comfortable and warm and inviting. I would definitely stay there again.

Cons:

Our room was a little small, but still cozy. I guess if anything it would be nice to have a restaurant on site, but there are so many wonderful places nearby.
