Charming historic canal house

La ubicació fantástica , l’esmorzar molt bo, el personal perfecte, atent, educat, amable. L’habitació superior deluxe canal view es una meravella. Els espais d’estada, bar, saletes, menjadors son preciosos.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by such an amazing team including William, who seemed to have magical powers and appeared instantly with a warm smile and answers to all our questions.

After a less than stellar transatlantic flight, we were grateful to have requested the car service offered by the hotel. It was a seamless transfer with wonderful service. The Ambassade team made little haste getting us into our room early (thank you!). The room was divine and had an exquisite view of the canal, but with no noise issue from the street below. We melted into the luxury linens, towels, robe and slippers, but first gleeful to notice the heated tile floor in the luxurious bathroom.

After experiencing an unexpected medical issue, the hotel swiftly provided amazing service and once again, magical William appeared at our door within moments of calling. Shout out to the Brasserie for the incredible food and service. Plan on an amazing breakfast with a dreamy view of the canal. It’s a must see.

The Ambassade is truly a rare gem in a world of routine and lackluster lodging. We will be back and certainly encourage others to make special memories here. You won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful stay at Ambassade Hotel. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of everything. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and very clean. We slept extremely well and truly enjoyed our time there.

The location of the hotel is perfect, it is a nice quiet, traditional Amsterdam street, but close to the shops and attractions. Our room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and genuinely nice, there were no false smiles, just lovely friendly and attentive people. The breakfast was relaxed and the lounge bar had a nice vibe..

We had a wonderful stay for my husband's surprise birthday. Suite 85 is perfect with a superb view of the canal. All the staff's thoughtful touches were warmly appreciated, from booking to check-out. This is our third stay; we will gladly return.

Our 5th time at this wonderful Hotel. Every member of staff has a smile and a hello for you. We always have a canal view room and love people watching with a glass of red, watching all the boats go by.

As soon as we get to the Hotel we are on Ambassade time, we’ve returned to our happy place.

Great breakfast too - although this time it did seem to have been streamlined quite a bit.

This is one of my favorite city hotels in the world. I have been staying at this hotel since 1990 and it continues to impress. The hotel is a literary and arts hotel and is classy and quiet. The hotel is a conglomeration of a number of canal houses that are charming and unique. The rooms are old world but fully modern and if you’re lucky enough to have a canal view room just open the window and sit back. The linens and toiletries were very high quality and the bed and pillows allow for a perfect nights sleep.

But maybe the best part is the excellent service. Whether it is Wim and Eduardo as porters, Hannibal as a server in the dining room and bar and everyone else — too many to name — you will be treated as hot only a guest but as a friend. We can’t wait to return.
