Hotel Di Ann Amsterdam City Centre

Run down, steep, bathroom needs to be replaced, windows needs sorting, bedroom floor needs to be sorted and it was mentioned that there was a safe and fridge in the rooms which there wasn’t. It’s clear the cleaning staff are trying their best but the rooms need to be redone. A lot of other complaints were made by other guests during the stay which speaks for itself! It’s cheap and doable for a couple nights but I would look elsewhere beforehand

Bed bugs everywhere, staff were rude apart from this one man behind reception. Got kicked out a day early even though I paid the extra night and showed receipts. Saw the bad reviews before this but didn't realise how bad it was. Got bites all down my face from where I slept. Thanks 👍

The staff were great. The property itself could use a major facelift. Was fine for what I needed but lots of room for improvement and updates.

Extremely Disappointing Stay!

We tried to cancel our stay after reading reviews about bed bugs, but the hotel refused. They told Expedia.ca they would ensure a “well-appointed” room, yet what we received was far below that promise.

While the sheets appeared clean, most of the room was poorly maintained — curtains hanging off the rail, ceiling tiles with water damage, and flooring peeling up. An outdoor patio table had been brought inside from the balcony. There was no hand soap or tissues, and the bathroom smelled musty.

Common areas were dirty, and balconies had cigarette butts floating in containers. The fire alarm went off three times during our stay; the receptionist said it was due to showers, and no evacuation or notice was given. One morning there was no hot water, apparently off since the day before, with no notice to guests.

We didn’t encounter bed bugs, thankfully, but overall the hotel was in poor condition and far below the quality expected from an Expedia listing.

That was disgusting and grossest place I’ve ever been to as soon as I checked in, walked into the room and checked out this unacceptable place disgusting a role and I have all the pictures to prove it mold on the bathroom ceiling yellow stains on the old towels inappropriately cleaned from previous guest sexual toys. Condoms were left from two days prior to my stay. Never stay here. The staff in the checking area has no patient doesn’t wanna hear what you have to say. Nothing completely unaware of customer service.

No elevators, just a narrow and steep stairs. The room is too basic

Lovely staff, basic room but fine for what we needed. Would have been nice to have a kettle/cups in the room but other than that great stay.

Hotel staff are just just amazing. We come back everytime. May not have lifts but you get what you pay for. Amzing staff make the experience every time. Amnia and Steph are just the most amazing women. The rest of the staff are just as lovely. Highly recommend if your looking for that home from home feel. I have stayed here on my own and felt so safe so if your a solo traveler and are looking for a safe place then this is your safe place for sure. As a couple my husbad and myself love the convience of the location. Good food and places to shop within seconds of leaving the hotel. Musems are soo close aswell. So what ever your trip this hotel really does give you what you need. Amazing views of the city from every room we have stayed in. I just do not recomend if you cant walk up stairs. I stuggle with them but its well worth the effort.

Location is the only good quality this hotel has for the price.

To be fair the hotel was like I expected it to be. Let's just say if you're heading to Amsterdam for a romantic weekend, this probably isn't the one for you, but if like me, you're with friends and just looking for places to sleep then it's ok.

The stairs are hell…

We got upgraded to a triple room from a double room which was nice, but since coming back I have multiple bed bug bites all over my body.

The balcony was brilliant and staff very polite

Clean room and bathroom but the room is very very small if you got many luggage it's a struggle to put it somewhere and be able to move. To get to the front desk from the street you have to climb 2 level stairs very narrow and steep. If you got too many or heavy luggage it's a challenge and more stairs after the front desk to get to your floor. No elevator

Room wasnt like the photos show, biten nails found on the floor, ( i have pictures) wooden slab was holding the window open, not safe! Dirty room dirty hotel.

The pics say it all so we couldnt stay there. Contacted Hotels.com who reassured me it would be fine

Nice and peaceful

It's centrally located and close to everything, just what we wanted. The only downside is that it doesn't have an elevator, and the stairs, with their shabby carpets, are discouraging at first glance. The room was very simple and small, but cozy.
