Second stay and not that impressed
Pros:

This was our second stay at The Weekend Hotel in Vienna. The staff remained very friendly and welcoming, and I was happy to see that slippers are now provided in the room. The hotel still has a pleasant atmosphere overall, and the location is great.

The cleaning service was exceptionally good, and I would especially like to thank the housekeeping staff for their excellent work

Cons:

Unfortunately, compared to my first stay, this experience was noticeably weaker. Even though I booked the same room category as before and stayed longer (7 nights instead of 5), the room was much, much smaller (I’m pretty sure it was one of the smallest room on the floor) and in worse condition than during my previous visit.

The breakfasts became very repetitive, the selection stayed exactly the same every day, nothing even changed from previous stay. Also, some of the better items, such as prosecco and smoked salmon, were available only on weekends, which felt a bit unfair for guests staying during the week.

Another problem was the sound insulation - it was simply poor. I could clearly hear neighbors opening and closing curtains, using the shower, watching TV and etc., which affected both comfort and sleep quality.

In addition, there was occasionally a slight sewage smell in the bathroom in the mornings. Not that critical but it was.

I will end my review as I did previously:
“Would I come back here again?” — I’m not sure, but definitely not for a long stay.

Staff were exceptional.
Pros:

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was self service, plentiful and provided everything from seeds, nuts fruit and yoghurts to cooked eggs, sausages and bacon, pastries, breads and continental style breakfast food.
Our room was spacious with kettle and coffee machine and location is close to the U6 tube, tram and buses to get around Vienna for the city centre and other sights and attractions. The front desk staff helped with 24hr travel cards and we could then use all the public transport to get around.

Cons:

Initially our room was a little small and warm as the aircon was economically set during daytime when guests are supposed to be out and about. Great service though as the staff explained to us and upgraded us to a bigger room. We messaged the hotel a few days before arriving to request early check in as we arrived early around midday but couldn’t check in to our room until 3pm. The staff kindly let us store our travel cases in the luggage room and we went out to explore until room ready. This was our experience and the staff were excellent and made our stay fantastic with their helpfulness.

In Summe aufgrund Lage und Viertel gut, aber definitiv wieder dann im Haus 2!
Pros:

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut und das Stadtviertel ebenso angenehm, das Zimmer verfügt, wenn auch klein, über fast alles, was man braucht, sehr gute Betten

Cons:

Wir hatten ein Zimmer über dem Empfang (überhalb dem Gartenbereich mit Bewirtung) und morgens Rauch und abends haben Menschen bis Mitternacht sich laut unterhalten und geraucht, in Summe unschön. Lieber Haus 2 nehmen. Zimmer ist gerade ausreichend, aber schon sehr klein ...
