Excellent, highly recommend.
Pros:

Very comfortable and clean room, quality fittings. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Food in restaurant and cafe wonderful.

Cons:

Shower over the bath wasn’t ideal so next time I’ll contact them direct to check there’s a walk in shower.

A fantastic hotel providing a lovely service
Pros:

The hotel is lovely and totally refurbished to a very high standard. High quality beds with great bedding, clean room and lovely bathroom. Fresh milk provided for the room coffee/tea. Also, the breakfast was outstanding, probably one the best ever with locally sourced high quality ingredients, along with great coffee and "proper" freshly squeezed orange juice. Clearly there has been a lot of attention given to this hotel

Cons:

Nothing. Everything was faultless

Very smart update from when I last stayed and very convenient for visiting relatives in Stokesley.
Pros:

Breakfasts and service very good. Very good selection of breakfast food. Bed extremely comfortable.

Cons:

The perfumed jar of scented sticks in my room gave me slightly allergic reaction, made me cough and irritated nose. I moved them first to the bathroom but still had problems so I put them outside my room door. I would prefer no scented material present.

Pros:

All staff were exceptionally polite, attentive and friendly. Check-in was smooth and the receptionist showed us to our rooms and provided fresh milk for tea. The entire hotel had been extensively renovated recently so everywhere felt fresh and spotlessly clean. There was a good selection of drinks in the bar including unusual craft and keg beers and samples were happily provided. The menu offered plenty of choice and was a pleasant change from the standard fayre found in most pubs and hotels these days. Breakfast was impressive with locally sourced food cooked to order and a range of pastries, fruit and yoghurt on each table.

Cons:

The decor is a little unusual and might not be to everyone's taste although I found it added to the character of the place.

Pros:

Very dog friendly. £20 fee but we got a dog bed, blanket, bowls and treats plus sausage for breakfast. Lovely room plus underfloor heating

Cons:

All good. I was charged an additional £10 for the room rate on top of meals and dog fee. Never had that before when paying in full in booking. Com

Beautiful Yorkshire Escape
Pros:

We booked a last minute evening away and Wainstones Hotel did not disappoint. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming from the reception team to the morning restaurant staff. The hotel has been newly refurbished and the decor is gorgeous! Cleanliness of the social spaces and rooms are impeccable. We loved the personal touch that the rooms are named after the owners dogs, with little pictures and information about them in each room.

There was a function on the evening we had booked so a little noise was expected in the hallway but it did not disturb our sleep. The bathroom was lovely and clean however the water pressure isn’t superb. Finally, the hotel has this beautiful scent throughout especially in the rooms. Whole experience was lush! Would definitely recommend.

Very Poor
Pros:

We visited the café for brunch and had to ask for our order to be taken after waiting for some time. When the drinks eventually arrived, they were cold. From the taste of the tea, it was obvious it hadn’t been made with hot water. Although the staff replaced the drinks, we were told the coffee couldn’t be made any hotter due to the machine, yet the replacement arrived hot, which made that explanation questionable.
The food was equally disappointing. My husband’s smashed avocado was mediocre at best, and my bacon sandwich was very poor. The bacon was hard and clearly either reheated or severely overcooked. While the drinks were removed from the bill, this did little to make up for the overall experience. I expressed my disappointment on leaving, and we will not be returning. Very poor.

Amazing staff!
Pros:

The staff here were amazing. Really friendly and helpful. Giving us a lift up to start our coast to coast walk was really appreciated. The food in the restaurant was also the best we had during our 2 week walk.
