The pool area looked lovely, but it was still too cold to enjoy it. We were able to book a spa service, and that service was excellent.
The reception felt chilly upon our arrival and in several interactions. There is a cute bar area in the lobby, but when we ordered cocktails, they took a very, very long time in the making and were then poorly prepared and shockingly over priced. The room itself was not as spacious or nice as they appear in photos. Despite paying for an upgraded room with terrace and view, they first tried to put us in a regular, cramped room on the ground floor, with a view of a fence. Even after moving us to a room with more spacious patio, the rooms themselves have a "motel" feel to them with cheap, visibly worn-looking furnishings and cramped space and tiny bathroom. The only other choice available to us with a more open/sunny outside patio was surrounded by other rooms with smokers sitting out on theirs and smoking. Even if you've booked a non smoking room, you cannot enjoy your own outdoor area without breathing other guests' smoke. You can't even open your door to enjoy fresh air without their smoke entering your room. As a final note: the hotel is a longer walk from the beach than we anticipated; just a heads up if a 20-30 minute trek to the beach isn't what you have in mind.
