Nice hotel located near the Arch of Galerius (also known today as “Kamara”), one of the most important Roman monuments of Thessaloniki. I was assigned a room with a beautiful view of Ano Poli. The rooms are not particularly spacious, and the washrooms are fairly small. The staff, especially Giorgios Doumanis (front desk) and Yannis Baxevanidis (restaurant), were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was excellent; it included a wide array of delicious vegetarian options, such as veggies (sautéed mushrooms etc.), bougatsa, Kalamata olives, and feta cheese. The deserts, particularly the panna cotta, were amazing. My only complaint is that on July 13, 2025, around 08:00 PM, I returned to the hotel and the lobby was full of tourists who had just arrived. It took me some time to pass through the crowd. Τhe management and the staff at the front desk should have endeavored to handle the situation better to avoid inconveniencing the guests.
Really well located - very welcoming staff . Pleasant breakfast room and good selection for breakfast. Rooms fairly basic but very clean and functional. Would recommend for a budget city break and will be looking to book for our next trip to Thessaloniki !
It was a nice stay.
Hotel hat Schulklassen im Haus und da Rum war es sehr laut. Na ja . Ich bin zufrieden
Wonderful hotel with a local flavor and clientele. Clean rooms and fantastic breakfast. Coming from the US and corporate hotels, I found it refreshing to have ABC's fresh- cooked eggs, pastries, and breads rather than cellophane wrapped food. Same too with the hotel staff, real hardworking people doing their jobs and not the corporate avatars found in the big chain hotels.
Recently stayed at the ABC hotel in Thessaloniki Room 314 which was a triple room (since it was the only one available for two adults). The room was like a small apartment with lots of windows facing various directions in the centre of Thessaloniki. The staff at Reception, our Bulgarian cleaner and especially the breakfast staff, who prepared us some wonderful and tasty packed lunches were all amazing. Thank you.
Bra hotell, nära allt , bra service, trevliga pesonal , frukost buffé utmärkt
Jag rekommenderar
A perfect venue for all activities in the city
Air conditioner did not cool down the room during a summer heatwave and being on the 7th floor. Location was convenient but on a busy main street. Breakfast options were ok.
safe
A perfect located hotel next to the University and the old town and the seaside promenade within a short walking distance. Easy to get around from the location and the room at 8th floor was spacy and clean.
The pictures on-line do not do justice to the place and not in a good way. The hotel was definitely older and not as current as one may be lead to believe by looking at the pictures that are available on-line. That being said, functionally solid, location is superior, though surrounded by busy streets on 3 sides, good breakfast, luggage storage, comfortable beds, good A/C, ample hot water. No parking at the hotel but they do have an agreement with a surface lot close by for discounted rates. Some of the tiniest elevators that you'll ever see. Barely enough room for 2 suitcases and 2 people in one of them.
Hotel ABC is located near historic sites, restaurants and shops. It's also an easy walk to Kapani Market.
It is one of the few hotels I have visited in Greece that has vegan dining options, even though it is not difficult to be vegan in Thessaloniki.
1 night stay as a part of our Balkans tour. Room quite small but nicely decorated/furnished. We were on the first floor and traffic noise was quite loud. Friends were on the 6th or 7th floor and said it was fine. Great gyros cafe around the corner and little convenience store next door. Only about a 15 minute walk down to the lovely waterfront esplanade. Breakfast was very good.
We were here as part of a group tour in September 2022 and stayed for one night.
The hotel is right in the centre of the city and we were able to be dropped off right outside. Check in was swift - the lobby isn't that big and there was only one lift, so one of us took the bags up, whilst the other climbed the spiral staircase.
The room was compact but had enough room for everything we needed - the bedding was clean, the air con worked well, there was a wardrobe area, desk, chair and TV. There was also a fridge and safe as you'd expect. The room was clean and despite there being a very busy road outside, there wasn't too much noise coming in through the doors to the small balcony area. The bathroom was also compact, but the shower was big enough - good pressure and hot water.
Breakfast downstairs was good and had a choice of hot and cold food, as well as tea, coffee and juices. The wifi was fine in case you need to use it.
Overall a good short stay.
This is the third time we have stayed at the ABC Hotel. It is ideally situated and within walking distance of everything and only ten minutes walk to the White Tower. Our excellent room with balcony and seating had a view of the city. Comfortable beds and an attractive room. Spacious shower cubicle and well lit. Everything is spotless. Breakfast excellent and all staff polite, courteous and welcoming. Will only go to the ABC Hotel as we feel at home there and Thessaloniki is a city that we love.
The location of the hotel is very good, and the staff is very friendly. Very nice breakfast.
My room had a very bad (old) smell and the furniture is dated. The bathroom was not very clean.
The room was more than a jail cell. No windows Noise every time I was turning the toilette room light , Children’s bed size. Breakfast with brownish coloured fruits. Staff was helpful
ich komme gern wieder und würde die Unterkunft auch weiter empfehlen
