This hotel has the best location in my opinion it’s right on the beach, round the corner from all the bars and has fantastic sea views. Our room had side seaview and pool view, the maids come everyday cleaning, the beds are the comfiest I’ve ever slept in,it has everything you need the staff were lovely.the only negative is the pool isn’t the biggest and there are not enough sun loungers to cater for everyone but all in all it’s a great little hotel
Very poor experience with rude staff members starting from reception to restaurant, poor food both in terms of choices and taste and lack of cleanliness . It stinks throughout the property, stains in curtains Swimming pool is for namesake. Personal houses have bigger pools. No activities for children. A small property with some basic amenities. It doesn't deserve any star.
Only good thing is location, near beach and shops.
We opted for breakfast and dinner as part of our booking. The dinner menu includes very small number of basic items. Same menu for all nights. No restaurant graded food. The restaurant staff members were treating us as if we are eating there free of cost. When I asked the receptionist for an extra bath towel, I have been asked to wait for next day 7 am for the towel to be changed. This is something I have never faced during my whole life of travel across the continents. I booked this hotel after seeing some good ratings, but my personal experience is terrible, the whole holiday is spoilt.
This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in .staff are so friendly and helpfull. rooms are really nice. this hotel has changed hands so all previous reviews are not applicable. the food is top notch. hotel and grounds are really nice. lovely sun beds .pool area is fantastic.
Highly recommend. I stayed at the Alia beach hotel for 10 nights. The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff were absolutely wonderful. The pool was great (needed some maintenance but I assume this is sorted over winter). All in all very good value for money. There is also an excellent beach side restaurant with good food and wonderful staff - especially Niko. I'm looking for to returning again in the spring.
No ice machine
Good hotel for young people. Amazing location right on the beach and plenty of places to eat and explore. Really friendly service at the hotel and the bar especially. They make a good cocktail but it’s quite overpriced for what it is. Would say though, some of the pictures don’t reflect the hotel. The beach bar is not on the beach and the pool is very small. There’s only one type of room ( two beds pushed together no double bed.)
The cleaners misplaced and broke items, as well as left people’s doors open so not amazing security. Hotel is loud so would only recommend for people looking for a party destination as is a one min walk away from the clubs.
Overall good hotel experience here, just don’t expect a quiet or relaxing atmosphere.
Had a great time at the Alia. Room was great. Very noisy though, close to a club, music pounding until the esrly hours girls screaming at the top of their lungs. Sipermarket was handy so got 2 werks worth of ear plugs, so that's sorted. Thanks to our maid who kept us clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the same everyday, but it was done well. Plenty of areas to sit, very pleasant surroundings. The bar staff and waiters (pop) were first class, quick to serve us, and the food was great value and we never had any reason to complain. A few days into the first week, I returned to my room to find the door not locked, the maid had been in to freshen things up. I then had difficulty trying to lock the door, it appeared to lock, but seconds later I could open it. I spokec to the 9Receptionist, who confirmed that there was an issue with that room, but would take a look. She also tried everything to secure the room, but agreed the lock would have to be changed. I asked for a new room, but was told the hotel was fully booked, and that I had the safe for my valuables and it would be fixed the next day. True to Her word, it was fixed the next day. Alls good. Until I got chatting to a couple who confirmed they new that my room had a faulty lock, because they were given that room days earlier, but refused it when he realised the locking mechanism was faulty, as he was a locksmith. I am very annoyed thatt they knowingly checked me into that room, aware that the door was not locking. That is why I won't be coming back.
During my stay at Alia beach hotel, I had an extremely unsettling experience. A significant sum of cash went missing from my room after the cleaners came, and the situation was only exacerbated by the receptionists response. Despite my attempts to resolve the matter, I was left with a mere €20.05 in my purse, and no sense of accountability from the hotel. This incident not only put a damper on my trip but also left me questioning the hotel's security measures and customer service integrity. I'm sharing my story to urge others to be cautious and mindful of their belongings when staying here.
The hotel has spectacular views. That's about the end of the good.
The bathroom was less than desirable, the open shower was directly next to the toilet that flooded when we showered. We requested additional towels to soak up the water and were told NO. The 2 towels we were provided were uncomfortable and scratchy.
The "king" bed was two small beds pushed together and made separately with sheets so if you wanted to sleep next to your partner you would fall between the beds as they separated.
To enjoy the view, you have to be comfortable with the rooms next to you seeing directly into your room as the balconies are separated by waist high open railings. Zero privacy. If you want to hear the ocean with the sliding doors open, you have to sacrifice your night with a room full of mosquitos as there are no screens on the sliding doors.
We invited friends over to hang out on the balcony one night and the concierge called us and told us they had to leave as we only paid for 2 people. What's the point of having a big balcony overlooking the sea if you can't enjoy it with your friends?
There was not ironing board or iron in the room, when we requested we were only given an old iron which left brown stains on our clothes because it was rusty.
If you want a great view and don't care about anything else, this is the hotel for you. If you want any kind of service or hospitality...look elsewhere.
Great place and excellent service! Drinks could be ordered directly from the deck chair and delivered there. In addition, I received immediate help to call the ambulance when I had sudden pains. I highly recommend this place!
Great location- literally a one minute walk to the marina/start of strip. Lots of shops nearby.
Lovely friendly small hotel- we were bed and breakfast. Breakfast nice fruit/cereals/coffee available. Rooms good size and cleaned every day. Staff at hotel were all lovely and friendly.
We ate at the restaurant twice which was also really good, you got 10% off as a hotel guest. Lovely views over the sea, reasonable prices.
Pool area/pool quite small- not very many sunbeds, but didn’t really matter to us as we mostly were at beach or out anyway.
We went out every night but on return our room was quite quiet.
We’ll be back!!
Firstly the breakfast and roomservice were great, the room we've stayed in was clean and had very comfortable beds!
But most importantly the food was amazing, a great mix of Greek and other mediterranean food at very reasonable prices. Also very helpful and pleasant staff in the hotel and restaurant (which all spoke good english and some even some Dutch)
We'd stayed for 2 weeks and I would do it again!
This review is only for Alia restaurant. Partner and decided to try Alia as it was always busy when we walked past. We were welcomed by a lovely gentleman (can’t remember his name but I know he had glasses), and seated promptly. The menu is big with lots of choice, and there a lot of different specials on the boards outside. I was quite hungry so had calamari to start which was delicious, and then the four cheese pasta for main. I was served a huge bowl of perfectly cooked pasta in a gorgeously rich sauce…with extra Parmesan 🤣 I’m a huge cheese lover so this pleased me immensely! Delicious food and setting. I’ve rated four stars, as I personally found the cocktails a little strong and overpowering. Also the staff were rushing around a lot which spoiled the ambience a bit. At one point one of the waiters dropped the oil and vinegar bottles causing balsamic vinegar to splash all over the table and up my partners arm! Luckily it didn’t get on his shirt and the young server looked a bit embarrassed so we didn’t say anything. Overall we would go back as the food was amazing!
This hotel stands out well above others in same area.Staff are great, good sense of humour and very professional.Rooms are clean, and very comfy.Good beds with coco toppers.Feel like magic.Lovely powerful showers, plenty of hot water. The hotel has many attributes, its close to beach, just across a small quiet road.Plenty of restaurants around, particularly as the Port is less than half a kilometre away, along with the bars and entertainment for the lively ones amongst you.But Alia is quiet as its a short walk away.Plenty of good peaceful, quality restaurants and eateries nearby, including the Alia Hotel itself.Food excellent and not overpriced.
Many supermarkets close by,even a Lidl. Fresh fruit best bought at local stored. It looks a bit sad,but definately tastes beautiful. Fantastic boat trips in the Port.Ocean sailing day trips with food, smaller capacity to make it special and fun.Lots to see and enjoy. Lovely people.
We had a lovely time at Alia beach, the staff are very friendly and helpful, there are 2 choices of sunbeds, and the food is great especially the pizzas! The beach isnt over crowded as some are, and they dont blast music so you can really relax! Will deffinatly return on our next trip.
It is a very nice hotel, my room was perfect, very nice spacious reception area.Covered outdoor dining beside the sea with very good food. Cannot praise the reception staff enough, they were most helpful.
Cet hotel ne convient qu'aux jeunes fetards. Beaucoup trop de bruits dans et en dehors de l'hotel. Impossible de fermer l'oeil la nuit!
Great location close to busy shops bars and restaurants, but far enough not to be bothered by noise. modern, clean hotel .Lovely room 101 with sea view. Staff friendly and efficient.
Only downside was cooked breakfast, was consistently cold.
Despite this would definitely return.
