H10 Salauris Palace

Currently staying at the H10 Salauris Palace in Salou with family and young grandchildren. We are staying half board. There is usually enough choice for breakfast, however, dinners can be more difficult as 5 of our party are vegetarian. The food is ok. You can be lucky enough to get it straight from the kitchen when it is hot. It cools down quickly when it is sitting.
The team at the pool and the children's entertainment are great. The staff in the restaurant and throughout the hotel are lovely and very friendly.
The big issue we have is that our rooms are right above the stage and the entertainment goes on until close to 11.30 at night!!
I would have asked to move but my family members with the small children had unpacked everything and I didn't want to cause them any hassle.
If anyone is booked to stay, just ensure your room is not directly above the stage, otherwise bring earplugs.

We spent a week here as a family of three, staying in a junior suite with a pool view. As regular visitors to Salou who usually choose Golden hotels, we were hoping this would be a refreshing change. The hotel certainly has strengths — especially the spacious rooms and hardworking entertainment team — but inconsistent service, disappointing food, and several safety and maintenance issues meant it didn’t quite meet expectations.

Highs
Junior suite space — One of the most spacious rooms we’ve ever stayed in, with genuinely comfy beds.
Sunbed availability — Plenty of loungers around the pool, even though many were reserved for hours while people went out.
Evening chocolates — A lovely touch having chocolates delivered nightly (possibly a junior‑suite perk). We only received two, so we ended up tossing a coin each night to decide who missed out.
Free water machine — Great for filling bottles throughout the day.
Entertainment team — The entertainers worked hard and created a genuinely warm, lively poolside atmosphere.
Early check‑in — Our room was ready when we arrived at 9:30am, which was a brilliant start to the holiday.
Room cleanliness — Housekeeping kept the room spotless throughout our stay.
Free safe — Always appreciated for peace of mind.
Wrist bands - Incorporating a chip that lets you into your room.
Toiletries - great selection of toiletries in the room, including a lovely hair conditioner.

Lows
Food quality — Very average, lacking variety, and often bland.
Buffet layout — The island-style buffet creates long queues, even if you only want one item from the side.
Dangerous shower setup — The jacuzzi bath with an overhead shower is unsafe. The slanted base combined with low water pressure forces you to stand in an awkward position to rinse properly; my husband slipped twice and hurt his leg.
Poolside prices — Expensive food and drink with small portions, noticeably pricier than other hotels nearby.
Poolside toilets — Only two available, and the floors were consistently very wet, dirty, and smelling strongly of urine. The steps leading down to them were also regularly wet, making the whole area feel unsafe and slippery.
Water charge at dinner — Being charged for filtered water in the evening buffet felt unreasonable when the same water is free in reception.

We had the best time! The hotel was absolutely spotless at all times, the staff were lovely, the pool and entertainment were both fantastic, and there was lots to choose from in the restaurant. Once again we are delighted to see that H10 continue their commitment to protecting our planet, providing free water for reusable water bottles and making use of only renewable energy.

Some staff shoutouts -
We all came down with a tummy bug on the first day - unfortunately we were probably unknowingly incubating the cursed thing before we even arrived - and confined ourselves to quarters for a few days. All of housekeeping were wonderful throughout the trip, but thank you so much to Belen for providing us with seemingly unlimited clean sheets and towels for our four-year-old. Despite the horribleness of it all, Belen was so kind and sympathetic and made sure we had everything we needed. We tried to keep her out of the apartment as much as we could, but she was so eager to help where she could.

Once we finally emerged into society again, Facu was behind the bar serving smiles, craic and excellent drinks! What a lovely, friendly, funny guy, who always had time for a chat. The bar was also very reasonably priced!

Laia (unsure of spelling but she often wore her hair in two plaits) was a little sparkly cloud of smiles and energy every morning at breakfast. She always stopped to talk to any little kids that were in the restaurant and was so friendly to everyone who spoke to her.

Props to anyone wearing that daisy costume in the summer heat, by the way - I can't imagine!

All in all, fantastic hotel with brilliant, helpful staff. We'd definitely return.

Amazing location. Only a few minutes walk from te beach.. atmosphere was amazing..really chill vibes with lots to do for the children.the pool was perfect.the rooms were excellent..the balcony was lovely in the evenings..value for money was more than we expected..would definitely recommend..10 out of 10

Well run hotel, clean and know their business well

The staff is very polite and friendly. Most of our demands were fulfilled instantly, and all the questions were answered clearly. The facilities and rooms are clean and well-maintained, and are also cleaned each day. Location is really good, fairly close to the beach and a few steps away from Port Aventura. My friend had health issues, and the receptionist called the doctor, which arrived straight to our room and did a great health check, and prescribed medicine.

Fantastic stay with our family. Our second trip here. Really enjoyed the pool and location is great. Staff are lovely and really go out of the way to help. Shout out to Facu for a delicious pina colada and excellent service by the pool!

5 szuper napot töltöttünk a hotelbe, az első emeleten, medencére nyíló kilátással. Tökéletes elhelyezkedés, a part és a park is kb 15 perc kellemes sétával elérhető. A reggeli és a vacsora során széles a választék, a bejelentkezés során az étel allergiára is rákérdeztek. A személyzet nagyon barátságos. A szobába plusz pipere található (fogkefe és fésű is) többféle törölköző. Az erkélyen kis szárító is található. A hűtő halk volt, az ágy kényelmes.

Pour être honnête en lisant certains commentaires négatif j'ai beaucoup hésité mais finalement j'ai pu constater que c'était exceptionnel en cette période d'avril. Les chambres étaient au top et bien équipée j'ai ramené mes produits d'hygiène mais tout est présent sur place, champoing, geldouche, après champoing, savon pour les mains, brosse à dents, dentifrice, sèche cheveux. les femmes de ménages aimable et même quand j'accrochais la plaque pour ne pas nettoyer en me croisant dans le couloir elles s'assurent que c'est bien mon souhait et j'ai trouvé ça très sympa de plus qu'elle sont discrète et réservé. Le personnel de l'accueil, les animateurs ,les cuisiniers, les serveurs, la fille de l'accueil du spa, les commerçants, la sécurité .... j'ai juste rien à dire très sympa et serviable prêt à aider quand il faut. J'ai aimé la cuisine même si je mange pas de viande il y avait un large choix au buffet j'ai beaucoup aimé les entrée au crustacés et caviar et le poisson cuit sur place à la plancha ❤️ il y a aussi au fond du restaurant le showkok cuisine ouverte ou le chef prépare le plat que l'ont souhaite selon la disponibilité et il y a aussi une boulangerie avec de délicieuses viennoiseries. Le déjeuner est au top. (Mon fils a dit à l'un des serveurs que les choros était pas asser cuit pour lui mais sans demander d'autre alors le serveur a appelé directement le cuisinier ensuite lui a ramené d'autre toutes fraîches et bien croustillantes cuit en quelques minutes. J'étais étonnée du geste digne d'un 5 étoiles ❤️. Les activités pour certaines n'ont pas eu lieu en raison du trop petit nombre d'enfants mais il y a eu des activités tout les jours de 11h à 21h et chaque activité dure entre 1h et 2h ce qui nous permet prendre un peu de temps pour nous.

Great hotel in a good location. Very clean and great facilities. Good value for money.
