Hotel Tannbergerhof

Thank you very much for a lovely week at Tannbergerhof and Lech in general. Our family was well taken care of and the hotel proved so well placed with proximity to lifts and all aminities in Lech for a relaxing family ski vacation. The pleasant afterski rounded up a good day after skiing and Dieter and the whole team made us feel very welcome and appreciated. Good food and wine in the restaurants and attentive and spirited staff with humor! Thank you again!

Absolute fantastic..
As a last minute walk in, nothing was a problem, so welcoming straight away, very helpful in every aspect. Everything spotless clean, organized, feeling homely and warm. Perfect lovely staff, waited / prepared breakfast buffet just for us fresh, free nibbles at the Sauna, nice tasteful decor everywhere, shown around the Hotel for future room options, helpful bar staff about nearby travel options, just a overall pleasant experience, yes, how it should be, but what is sometimes often missed. The little things, the attention towards all of us by staff and owners, Just very happy, pleasantly surprised about old school values of the hotel business still in use. Will definetly recommend and return if possible. A happy Australian Gold Coast Family.

Best location, best service, very friendly atmosphere. We loved the restaurant and the apres ski bar. Hope to be there again soon.

What should have been a special evening turned into an absolute farce from start to finish.
This hotel advertises two very different restaurants: an upscale dining room and a casual pub. We specifically booked the upscale restaurant through their own website, received confirmation, and dressed accordingly. Unfortunately, none of that mattered to the staff or management.
Upon arrival, we were immediately brushed off by a waitress who after quickly scanning their reservation form, assumed we were reserved for the pub and then ushered us in that direction like confused walk-ins. Only after stopping another waiter and showing our reservation confirmation were we escorted back—clearly proving we had booked the upscale restaurant all along.
That’s when things went from bad to unacceptable.
The receptionist located our reservation but casually explained that their system often books people into the “wrong restaurant.” Despite acknowledging that our upscale reservation existed and was their error, we were told the upscale restaurant could not accommodate us and that we would have to eat at the pub instead.
Naturally, we asked to cancel—since we were not being offered what we reserved—and requested assurance that we would not be charged the €200 no-show fee. The manager’s response was astonishingly hostile: eat at the pub or be charged €200. No apology. No accountability. Just a thinly veiled threat to pay for their mistake.
Left with no real choice, we ate at the pub we never wanted to visit. The final insult? Nearly an hour wait for food that was mediocre at best—hardly compensation for being strong-armed into downgrading our entire evening.
This establishment has mastered the art of overpromising, underdelivering, and punishing guests for its own incompetence. If you value your time, money, or dignity, do not trust their reservation system—and certainly don’t expect management to act in good faith when things go wrong.
One of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had, not because of the food alone, but because of the utterly unacceptable treatment of paying guests.

My family booked into the Stube restaurant part of the Hotel Tannbergerhof last night. There was a lot of food. We ordered main courses only followed by pudding courses later. The service was good but I was outraged to find that the small plate of bread and a few fatty slices of local sausage and microscopicy tiny pieces of cheese which we didn't ask for but was delivered to the table were charged at €16 to my bill.Chatging for something that no one has requested is a disgrace and we didn't even like it nor want to eat it as it was so fatty and unpleasant to eat. I believe that the restaurant should rei my €16 plus service charge which I should not have left as a matter of fairness.
In most other respects, the dinner was fine except perhaps for charging nearly €6 gor 2 carafe of Tap Water.What a liberty to take by the restaurant.
As a result, I simply cannot recommend this restaurant anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming traditional Austrian hotel in Lech. The staff were extremely helpful. We enjoyed having a drink at the outside bar in front of the hotel.

The staff and everyone was top notch in courtesy great help. Very special place.

Wonderful Hotel in a wonderful town and area

Mooie locatie, in hartje Lech. Vriendelijk personeel. Een uitgebreide keuze bij het ontbijt. Ruime en schone kamer en badkamer.

Das Hotel für sich ist absolut in Ordnung, die Zimmer sind altbacken eingerichtet, aber gut gepflegt. Bar und Restaurant sind gut, das Frühstücksbuffet könnte etwas umfangreicher und bei der Auswahl des Aufschnitts hochwertiger sein. Das absolute Plus ist die zentrale Lage im Ortskern von Lech, daraus ergibt sich tagsüber durch die eigene und die gegenüber liegende Après Ski Bar aber auch ein höherer Lärmpegel, ein Nickerchen am Nachmittag ist bei den Zimmern nach vorne nicht möglich. Der Tannberger hat seine besten Tage hinter sich, das Hotel bietet auch kaum Wellness- und Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten. Damit kann man leben, man ist da zentral im Ort. Der abstruse Preis von 750€ für das Standard DZ mit Frühstück ist aber im geringsten nicht gerechtfertigt. Ja, es ist Lech und alles wird teurer, für den Preis muss man aber mehr bieten als ein zwar gut gepflegtes, aber völlig in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel.

We ordered a dish of the day and a Flaker Goulash. The meal of the day the staff could not name or find on google translate. So I to a chance - it was an unusual collection of meat and vegetable diced and fried. It was a greasy mess with burnt hard peas, meat that often was just gristle. I was very hungry but it was too horrible to finish. It cost 29 Euros. I have never ever turned food away. The Goulash consisted of half a sausage a fried egg and three gravity cube pieces of beef with a thick brown sauce and a plate full of noodles this was 30 Euros, really felt very ripped off.

Worst service I ever experienced in te restaurant. The staff didn’t know the todays special when being asked. It took one hour to get our food and we got in different times so most of us had to eat alone. Didn’t get our drinks to our food. Would not recommended a visit to their restaurant with those prices I would think the service was ok but it was worse than I ever experienced. Super disappointed!!!

Top Lage und Top Location?

Awesome authentic Austrian hotel and restaurant. Well located in the centre of town. Super friendly staff to assist with everything.

Wir fühlten uns richtig wohl. Sehr freundliches Personal und gute Leitung des Hauses.

RevisitedThis Hotel after many years.They have maintained their standards , delightful.Apre ski was as always great fun.Excellent breakfast.I received efficient assistance from the front desk.The position of the hotel is very convenient in terms of the ski lifts

Das Personal war freundlich und nett.
Allerdings war die Rezeption etwas unkompetent - da wurden uns z.B. Busfahrzeiten zw. Warth und Lech benannt obwohl der Busverkehr längst eingestellt war (Wanderbus und Linienbus).
Das was man dann noch eine Sauna nennt, ist bestenfalls ein Sauninchen - 2 Personen bequem und ab dann wird`s eng bis sehr eng. Dampfbad ist OK.

Das Hotel hat echt Charme und das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ausserdem ist das Essen erste Sahne! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können es absolut weiterempfehlen.

A very nice place to stay for a couple of days.
Overall good, but some difficulties with the parking information.
Needed a Changing for the car and was recommended a garage nearby. When car was loaded we asked reception if we needed to swop to another garage, answer was when we asked it wasnt neccesary as it was same price on both a 5€ per day.
When checking out the car this was not true at all. ... this as we had asked reception more than 3 times about this...
When confronting reception & manager we was told that they never has informed about this...To argue in that sence with a customer is not a good manner. This made us very disapointed even after a very good stay
