This hotel is newly renovated, very comfortable, and in a great location.
Pros:

We enjoyed the design of the spacious room with a kitchenette. We appreciated the modern decor and the high level of cleanliness.

Cons:

The room could be stocked with more coffee pods.

Quaint, clean, and conveniently located to visit the Atheneum Theatre for Bernadette, the Musical.
Pros:

Beautiful, almost European feel, absolutely quaint lobby, immaculately clean room, hallways, etc., very friendly housekkeping staff and bfast hostess, safe neighborhood. Lots of choices for breakfast, good waffles!

Cons:

The desk personnell were a wee bit grumpy (surprisingly so) on Sunday morning and the parking price was very expensive especially when the spots were super small and the were lots of potholes and gravel, etc.

Was not a relaxing and restful stay!
Pros:

Where do I start? First I was given a room a room with a AC Heat unit where bearings were going on it. Who the heck did they ever expect to stay in that room? Went down to desk and she looked and was able to get me into another room. The room had a light burned out and a spot in the bath tub that was permanently engrained in the tub. It looked like someone’s throw up. I took a lap downstairs after getting settled and found the hot tub not working. The next morning I was awoken by hammering at 8am. I let it go as I was trying to cope with the whole situation and figured it would be over. It lasted all day till 4PM. Then that night someone blared music at 3am that woke me up. I called down to the desk and they were able to address the issue, they called me back to confirm. The next morning, Saturday, at 8am they were hammering again!! I called down to the desk to file a complaint around 10am. The desk clerk stated they were working on the room above me and would call me back after she would see what she could do. No call back, nothing. They continued hammering all day and nothing was ever done to assist me with the issue. This after the hot tub was broken again. I would have thought at least you could have done is credit a night for the horrendous stay, but nothing. I had a reservation for June that I’ve cancelled. I will probably never stay here again for all issues and customer service this place provided. Embarrassing for Best “Worst” Western to say the least.

Hotel was centrally located to family I was visiting. Lots of restaurants near by.
Pros:

Check in woman very pleasant.
Nice roaring fireplace in lobby.
Room was large and cozy.
Bed was very comfortable.
Hotel was quiet.
Breakfast was nice.
Loved the light for reading in bed.

Cons:

Bathroom sink drain was slow so water was building up in the sink. Not a big deal as it eventually went down.

Pros:

We loved it. We loved everything, location, low rise, room size , kitchen, cleanliness and best of all the courtyard.
A very short walk early morning for take-a-way coffee to take back to the courtyard. Felt great vibes here and safe. Walk to the end of the street(not far) in front of the hotel to catch the bus to downtown Chicago. Great haidresser a few doors along. Great restaurants close by.
I want to come back. We loved Chicago

All told a decent experience.
