This fairly-elegant property is quite the bang-for-the-buck in a hit-and-miss industry. I not only found the entire staff to be eager to help and friendly but I felt they truly cared for their guests. While my room had some minor maintenance issues which were tended to upon notifying the reception staff, I did manage to peer into a nearby room while it was being cleaned and noticed how clean and modern it was. The buffet breakfast was short on variety but satisfactory all the same. Were I to return to Belgrade in the future, I would gladly seek lodging here once more. I highly recommend this close-to-everything hotel!

Notre chambre était situé au 1 er étage ( il y a un ascenseur ) , et celle-ci était spacieuse et propre

Seul petit bémol, pas grand choix pour le petit déjeuner
Le café était excellent mais par contre pas de chocolat chaud
Je recommande vivement et y retournerais sans aucun doute
Le personnel est tres serviable et prend plaisir a nous accueillir

My family of 5 had a very nice pleasant stay in hotel union. The staff are so friendly and speak english well. They even provided us with extra blankets to make our stay more comfortable.
The breakfast was simple but very filling and delicious.

All staff were friendly, greeting and polite. We arrived two hours before official check-in time which was no issue at all. Upon having completed check-in, we were even offered complementary drinks. Excellent location with many sites, parks, shopping and restaurants in walking distance.

Ottimo soggiorno. Albergo molto curato, bei arredamenti, pulito, ottima colazione, molto centrale.

The staff is amazing! They were willing to help with every and any question. They even suggested a few great places for me and my friends to go out. The hotel itself looks very modern and is one of the best value for money I've stayed in so far in Belgrade.

Awesome and charmingly odd time warp. Can't beat the prices and old school charm. It is sort of like staying with a relative. The rooms vary, at these prices you can afford the big room, although even the singles are big enough. I stayed a week to do a yoga workshop at the Ashtanga Yoga Belgrade shala right across the street. They also have an awesome neon sign! will stay again if I can before someone scoops up this hotel and turns it boutique.

It’s my 2nd time in Belgrade, the first time i rented a house and i was very satisfied with the accomodation and everything, but this time in Hotel Union i was totally upset ! This hotel can’t be a 3 stars and i’m very upset that the site booking offers such disgusting hotels, the photos and information on booking.com don’t reflect the reality of this hotel ! i was there with a friend and we talked with many clients from different countries and all of them share the same point of view like us ! This hotel is a real desaster and when you see the photos , you’ll understand why !
-first surprise : they asked us to pay more than what we had to pay ! even when we showed the booking confirmation of the site booking.com with the amount that we should pay, they told us that the site made a mistake and we must pay more !! only when we insisted that it’s not our problem, they accepted that we pay the amount mentioned on our booking confirmation ! they tried to get more money , but it wasn’t successful for them !!
-The room is really « dirty » and « disgusting » , all the furniture are very old and in a miserable condition ! The window doesn’t colse and the room is very cold ( outside temperature was between -1 and -11) so you can imagine how you can sleep in such room !
-Blankets are dirty and smell very bad !
-The wc/shower is a desaster, just look to the photos !
-Towels are torn and dirty
-The walls and the roof of the room are damp !!
-Breakfast : the strict minimum ( coffee, milk, butter, jam and omelette ! and that’s all, no juice, no cake ! nothing more !)
-The staff working there unfriendly, very rude and « impolite » ! nobody tells hello or good morning ! there’s no smile, there’s no « you’re welcome » ! I was in many countries and different hotels in all continents and i never saw such staff like in this hotel !
-One day we asked the blond woman working in the reception for a taxi, she called one taxi for us and told us to give him 6000 dinars while the normal price was 600 maximum !! It’s not normal to do like that !!!
To conclude, this hotel is really awful, dirty, disgusting, the staf is unfriendly and impolite ! this hotel can never be a 3 stars ! i don’t recommand this hotel because it’s unworthy for a human looking for the strict minimum of « a clean room » !!
I’m very upset because i love Serbia so much and i have many friends there, but with what i lived in this hotel, i’m not sure that i’ll come back there again !

The 3 of us stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is situated on a perfect location; at the very center of Belgrade. The entire staff was very friendly and always in a good mood. A special mention goes to Zvonko, the receptionist, who has been extremelly informative and helpful.
The hotel might not be the most modern one you can find in Belgrade but the service was absolutely flawless.

Location is just great! everything is so close. and for them, who have bad orientation super easy to find : )
Staff is very very kind and helpful. You can trust them in every kind of situation. They really care about you.
about place, I've been there in November and there was little bit cold in my room, and doors of the rooms are very strange, you can't close them from inside and because of wind it moves very often during night : ) everything is very very old inside. usually it's no problem for me, but as it was hotel, I was waiting more.

next time I will search something better, but if I have to stay there, it will be ok.

I am in this hotel right now while i am writing review. As other says it is old hotel,in desperate need of restoration so I wouldn't recommend it for family vacation bit if you simply need to finish something in Belgrade for few days and need room this hotel is affordable priced and better to stay here then in hostel. Staff is very nice and helpful, I had minor surgery and they supplied me with all food and drinks in the room without any charge. So again affordable price, excellent location and friendly staff- on the other hand old hotel, again depend what are you looking for! I am staying 11 nights by the way.

Being a 3-star hotel, we were expecting a rather decent accommodation. Instead we came upon a century old hotel facility with no renovation touch whatsoever! The rooms are old and dirty and the whole building is basically falling apart. The experience was awful in its totality. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel, because even if you are an adjustable person, the hotel atmosphere will make you regret your good will to adjust! Breakfast is very poor and the hotel staff unable/unwilling to communicate in English. Check out the photos.
