Good hôtel and staff friendly
I loved my stay here. Although the rooms are not very big, it was nice and quaint. The location is amazing, the staff very friendly and helpful. Also there is a restaurant at the rooftop with great views and really tasty food.
Cute traditional property, but noisy rooms.
This hotel is centrally located just minutes away from Luxor Temple and adjacent to the town market for souvenir shopping. Breakfast is served on the roof, but after that it turns into a full restaurant which also provides excellent lunch and dinner options. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were very well maintained.
The only item small negative was that the rooms are pretty small (especially relative to the size of the bed), which makes it difficult to move around and open up luggage. But this is a just a minor inconvenience and should in no way affect your decision to stay here.
Its average hotel close to Luxor. Not very hygienic for breakfast as there were lot of flies in morning. Hotel staff is hard working.
Beaware of scamsters outside hotel. Avoid Tonga rides as they promise and then cheat on you.
Location, very helpful staff
They let us check in early, carried our bags and were just a great Affordable Hotel.
My 15 year old son and myself stayed here and we had a great time and felt safe in and around the hotel.
I’d recommend this to any other American looking to go to Egypt.

In overall terms my stay at the Nefertiti Hotel was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. On-site trip organiser and restaurant was an extra bonus. Great view of the Theban Hills from the roof-top.
Cons: room was on fourth floor and no lift! Not ideal when you are nearly 70! Room was located next to the restaurant, so very noisy early morning and late nights. Facilities were basic but perfectly adequate.
Excellent location, in front of the Nile River and Luxor temple. Breakfast really good and the rooftop restaurant has good food and servers are really attentive. There is a market where you can buy souvenirs and clothes just a walking distance. The tourist agency at the hotel really convenient, too.
Lovely roof top restaurant, brilliant location. The shower sprays everywhere so the whole bathroom gets wet and the fridge did not work.
Hotel Nefertiti located in the local market which is convenient for soveneir shopping and dinning, but might be overwhelmed for tourists. Property is dated without elevator. However the rooftop restaurant has a great view of the Luxor Temple. Hotel rate is a bargain and you get what you paid for.
The hotel had no water the entire time we were there.
Nice location. Amazing view on the roof top. Staff are friendly. Room has AC. food at restaurant on the rooftop is good. Just the shower room is very small with curtain.
We stayed 5 nights in Feb. 2025.
The staff is very friendly and willing to assist you. The Luxor and Karnak are very, very close if you are willing to walk. In addition, one of Luxor’s bazar is by the entrance. A couple of beer and liquor stores are just outside around the corner. The breakfast is delicious, with a variety of choices. Lunch and dinner are excellent too. You can arrange for balloon ride with the reception at a very competitive price.
Nefertiti is a great place in a great location. Charming, friendly, good food in the restaurant, convenient location, I could not ask for more from a hotel.
We booked for 3 nights. We were sent to the other hotel for the first night due to overbooking. The hotel staffs were all very nice and helped to carry our luggage. It was still very difficult for us to pack and move when we were so tired. No elevator. Rooftop restaurant was wonderful. Nice view. We loved their foods.
Muy lindo lugar y las personas que atienden son amables
The staff were lovely - Raqab went above and beyond making up our room each day. Top guy! The restaurant staff were always on hand and friebdly, plus 10/10 for taking care of the stray cats. Really made our day. Their story gives back food to locals too.
Great location. They warn you about the touts which I thought was a great step in helping people avoid the stress of Luxor.
Room, wifi and views are also top.
Nice enough hotel for the budget, though the shower was shoehorned into a tiny toilet area and unusable. This area of Luxor had little choice for evening entertainment, though the McDonalds nearby made it very acceptable.
