Molto caratteristico al centro del Paese , calma e tranquillità, cortesia e gentilezza.

I stayed here for an Italian wedding and the hotel is excellent value for money. It has a good location in the centre of the town. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is very nice.

staff was really great, breakfast was great. room is comfy, but the pillows smelled a little moldy, and AC was not working. there is no parking and you need to climb quite a few steps to get to the hotel, so pack light. reasonable fir the price, though.

Una sola notte, camera piccola ma gradevole, personale molto gentile.

Hotel was ok, not very fun location. They had the worst bed I've ever slept in, felt like we were lying directly on the feathers. Would much rather stay on a nice agriturisimo in the area, which we dud the day after for the same price.

tiene unas escaleras complicadas, pero si no tienes problema con eso, las habitaciones están limpias, la cama es cómoda y el desayuno está bien. Recomendable si te quieres quedar a medio camino entre florencia y siena.

Siamo stati in questo B&B solo una notte. Bella struttura in posizione centrale. Sfortunatamente si sentono molto i rumori delle porte delle altre camere e il letto non era molto comodo. Come in quasi tutti i B&B della regione, se si arriva fuori dagli orari standard non si viene accolti e si ritirano le chiavi. Rapporto qualità/prezzo comunque corretto.

Vi var på en hyggelig køretur rundt i Toscana og ville gerne overnatte i området, så vi kunne besøge vingårdene i området. Hotellet var rigtigt fint til prisen, god morgenmad og internet. Byen var ikke et besøg værd, men hotellet var rigtigt rart.

The hotel is located in the city centre of Gaiole in Chianti. Parking is close-by. Food stores and great restaurants are walking distance from the hotel.The rooms are big, beautifully decorated and well kept. Check-in starts at 2pm, but we had to call the hotel (shorlty after 2pm) to let them know we had arrived as there was nobody in the hotel. Security of the rooms is a bit iffy, as the keys are left hanging on the wall for all to see. We took our keys with us seeing that there was no hotel staff on duty. The ladies at the reception are not very talkative, the one who served us breakfast and checked us out did not even us ask about our stay...That was unfortunate as it was a nice hotel. Hotel rooms are great, but the service is a bit poor.

Having never been to the Chianti region before, I didn't realize that Griole in Chianti was a bit removed from the vineyards. The La Fonda was in the town square, which sounds lovely, and maybe sometimes is, but when we were there (May), it was dead. Plus it was exhausting to lug our luggage from a parking lot outside the square and up the steps to the front door. Luckily our room was on the first floor. Breakfast was average.

We loved the hotel, breakfast, staff, and geographic location. Parking was a bit of a problem, ( 2 blocks away ), and 50 stairs to get to our room, with a 100# of luggage. The view was worth the climb. would we stay there again? YES.
