Oriental Rivoli Hotel & SPA

I have just returned from Oriental Rivoli Hotel and all I can say is WOW. The hotel is welcoming, clean and is in a beautiful setting.

However what makes this hotel really stand out is the amazing staff. All the staff are so polite and smiley. I have to give a special mention to Jessica and Dido (animation team) who are simply amazing. I went here to celebrate my 40th birthday and these guys went above and beyond to make it special for me. They arranged amazing evenings and looked after us. They surprised me with a gorgeous birthday cake and confetti canons at the beach party club. They made it a birthday I will never forget. They danced the night away with us and gave us so many laughs. I really cannot thank them enough. So a big thank you to Jessica and Dido for your amazing energy and kindness.

Also I would like to say thank you to Totti who is the most perfect barmen and makes the best cocktails. He also gave us many laughs and made us feel very welcome.

I would definitely return to this hotel, I really did have the best time.

Excellent value for 3star, couod be cleaner but then it is Egypt and 3 star!
The staff work really hard and long hours, whilst reciprocating a friendly and helful manner.
Da-ha who works the restaurant/pool bar deserves an extra thanks and is fun to banter and goes that extra mile in serving you.
Pool guy is great too.
Food ok, something for everyone and there's the grill outside so something hot if referred to buffet which cools quickly.
The beach which the shuttle drops you to is gorgeous and many fish to be seen by the naked eye.
The evening entertainment is varied and service is amplified with a daily small tip to preferred staff members (although distributed amongst the team)

I loved everything, the animation team was amazing, shootout to Liz and Mo for being awesome, clean rooms and great place, I would book again for sure!

Just returned from a 10 night stay.

All the staff were fab especially Ghallib who was really helpful 👍 and the barmen and animation were really friendly.

Food here is really good, much better than other hotels we've stayed at in Sharm- amazing salads and bbq section!

The hotel itself is lovely, yes it's a bit tired and would benefit from a spruce up and a few deep cleans, other than that we really liked it here.

It's a nice quiet area but not too far from Naama Bay etc.

We have booked to return next year!

Stayed here on 30th December for 10 nights... 5th time to Egypt 🇪🇬 can honestly say I will definitely return here 🙂 for Egypt. It's a very good 4-star hotel! You get the usual 2 stoke petrol spirits that you get in egypt 😂 unless you go to the paid martini bar and the cocktails there are fantastic and excellent value at 200 Egyptian. The food at this hotel is amazing. Normally, we eat out a few times as the foods are repetitive but not here it really is good 😋 3 good size pools. The staff are great, friendly, and always ready to help 😀 the rooms are nice cleaned every day... water left in rooms as well. Fantastic New Year party 🥳 🎉 🙌

REVIEW: ORIENTAL RIVOLI HOTEL & SPA, SHARM EL SHEIKH
(or perhaps this should be entied “PREVIEW” !)

For the past two years, I have spent two weeks in February at the Oriental Rivoli Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh. I am going again in two weeks' time and I really can't wait to go back.

So I thought I'd write a Preview now – 'before' my holiday begins and compare this to the reality (although I know already that I shall have a lovely time – just like my previous two holidays there).

The hotel is located on the main road and a short walk from Naama Bay. Although one could not say that it is a 'small' hotel (not with three pools and two restaurants!), it is considerably smaller than some – which resemble small towns and which I found to be very impersonal.

It has its own section of the beach (which is very nice indeed – with plenty of sunbeds and parasols) but the hotel itself is not situated on the beach; it is at the end of a short road opposite – just a few minutes walk.

The hotel pools are great – with one being heated !!! I really cannot imagine why anyone would want a heated pool when the air temperature is 23/24 degrees but, there you are!

As for the food, it might not be Michelin standard but it is good, plentiful and very varied. The restaurant is self-service buffet style which, personally, I prefer because I can serve myself with food in the amounts I want (I detest very large meals). The restaurant is very attractive with a nice ambiance.

The Oriental Rivoli is anything but impersonal and being there alone, I can honestly say that I have never been so well looked after. Even between meals, one keeps bumping into various members of staff who always stop to say “hello”.

Whilst in Egypt, I always try to learn a new word or expression in Arabic every day. What fun I had when the gentleman at the grill, Ragab, tried his best to get me to pronounce “Sabah alkayr” (good morning) properly. He was great and encouraged me throughout the holiday with various words. Believe me, to the English, the pronunciation of the Arabic language is nothing like it looks but I shall keep trying !

I must say that I found every single member of staff to be very professional, helpful and friendly and always with a smile for me.

The reception staff gave me a very warm welcome (very important when a guest arrives – first impressions and all that ...), and who were always willing to help with taxis, information and other requests.
The head waiter, Ahmed (2024) and Sayed (2025), along with the young waiters, Abanoub, Saad, Taha, Islam, Ahmed, Mohammed and Ibrahim (to name but a few) were all super.

The young men at the swimming pool, Ahmed and Abdul always made sure that my sunbed was in the shade and looked after me well – as well as the young man at the pool bar, Islam.

I must mention young Ahmed, who cleaned my room and left me delightful “towel art” every day – I always wondered what I would see on the return to my room and I was never disappointed. He was yet another young man who always had a nice smile and always ready to help.

And last, but definitely not least, is Taher (nicknamed 'Taty') who runs the bar near the main entrance. A very popular gentleman – kind, helpful and thoroughly nice, who never failed to impress with his cocktails (and orange & lemon presses!). He was interesting to talk with (but always said “excuse me” when other guests arrived – very professional indeed). Taher, like all the other staff, was very attentive to all guests and did his best to see that everyone was looked after. He is older than many of the other staff; therefore, more experienced and confident.

I have no doubt that some of the staff will change this year (as they did between 2024 and 2025) and I also have no doubt that the new ones will be every bit as nice as those I have met already.

I often travel alone and, believe me, I have some stories I could tell but the Oriental Rivoli is one of the two hotels where I know I am going to get a very warm welcome and be looked after. I am not young (in fact the opposite!) and, as long as I am able, I shall be going to the Oriental Rivoli every year in February.

The next two weeks will pass very slowly for me – whilst my time at the hotel will pass all to quickly.

This is the 2nd time we have been to this gorgeous hotel! We came back to Egypt Sharm El Sheikh because of the experience we had here several months prior and the lovely people that we met here. The hotel is ideal location to all amenities and both my husband and Son had a truly wonderful couple of holidays here!!! I would like to mention Totti who is an incredible bar manager that goes above & beyond all the time to ensure all of the guests get the most amazing experience!
Will definitely return very soon!!!

The hotel was very nice and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool barman was very friendly and always had a smile on his face while serving people and made very nice cocktails, would highly recommend this hotel as it is close to sharm airport.

Ive been to this hotel a few times and keep it short the standards have not dropped but actually got better? The staff are more professional and they seem happy which is good soul food when your on holiday. The main reason I go is because I'm a diver and I now only use "Manta Divers Sharm" all staff work hard polite positive and professional they have a fleet on vessels, branded (Not rented equipment) and in a prime location on the marina. you get transported to and from the hotel and food provided all day and please ask about the "White Island". there are lots of dive centres but speaking to the staff I chooses this one as I am extremely happy. Finally I get copious amounts of massages as the spa is next door. It is one of the most relaxing places to be I don't know why it's not being utilised more. The hotel is relaxing as no-one is bothering you or trying to get you to but everything but you must go and ASK AND EXPLORE as you will nether know what you are missing thank you Oriental SPA and thank you Manta Divers.

Great prices as well you won't be dissapointed.

Stayed here many times location is good atmosphere amazing and the room we stayed in was right by the pool very relaxing and lovely to wake up to a pool view value excellent the staff are amazing and totti makes the best cocktails ever very professional and polite I will be coming back as I feel welcomed and treated well the staff actually make the holiday so I want to thank you all and totti especially

We had a great stay at the Oriental Rivoli, mainly down to the bar man Totti. We had good chats during my stay and one of the best bar man I’ve had at a hotel. He was very nice and couldn’t do enough to accommodate you, I’m looking forward to coming back and see my good friend Totti

Had a lovely time, hotel was nice, food ok but breakfasts a little limited. Forgot tea bags agin but hey ho. Wallid the guy who cleaned our room was brilliant and deserves a special mention. Staff all very lovely and attentive. Booked same hotel, same week next year. Thank you for the birthday cake!!! Toti on the bar was great. All the reception guys were brilliant. Thank you all so much. Cooks were great, omelettes need ordering "with eggs" :-)

it was a really good time we spend good time with all the stuff and animation team was really good and every day show and activities and the should be many kind of food but every thing is good and nice location

The entertainment staff were excellent with the kids. They are very friendly and warming and kept the kids entertained for hours.

I had a wonderful time staying at the Oriental Rivioli.. from the first night to sadly my last day all of the hotels staff have been absolutely 💯 brilliant. From Tyssier at the dry martini bar who has exceptional customer service to the beautiful towel decorations which were a wonderful surprise. Special Thank you to animation team as the partying in the dessert andaqua aerobics were really fun. Thank you to all the staff at the Oriental Rivioli you have made me feel like like family and I am so sad to leave but I will definitely be keeping in touch and visiting soon ❤ love to you all. We stayed at Oriental Rivoli Hotel and were genuinely pleased with our experience. The location is great – peaceful, yet close to everything you might need. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well maintained. The pool area and courtyard have a beautiful atmosphere, and the oriental style gives the hotel a unique charm. The food is varied, and there is enough choice for everyone.

For the price, the hotel offers much more than expected. We truly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay, good service, and a pleasant environment in Sharm El Sheikh. We would gladly come back again.

I felt fantastic at the hotel. There were great shows every night and during the day too. My room was beautifully cleaned every day and there was always a creative figure waiting for me on the bed made of towels. The restaurant had everything we wanted. The food was delicious. The staff was very attentive and kind. I would especially like to highlight Yasmine who tried to brighten my day with her words and her kind smile. I can absolutely recommend the hotel.

We are here now had the best time! Animation team great! Foam party was the kids best part!!! Food lovely and all staff very friendly can’t wait to return
