Hotel Kuntur Wassi

The manager was exceptionally friendly. He helped us to find places to eat and fun things to do. He also arranged an impromptu horse ride, which was extremely fun and appreciated.

Everybody was extremely welcoming and accomodating, I was even given a room upgrade. The room had amazing views on the mountains, and everybody was extremely helpful with sightseeing suggestions as well as food recommendations.

The location is great as it offers views across the roofs of Cabanaconde all the way to thenother side of Colca Canyon.

Attention to all details by Edwin and his staff were the highlight of the place. Rooms were basic, but cozy and impeccably clean. Hot water and tea available all day long at the reception. Wifi good. Shower good. And the comforters on the bedding very warm. Hotel was a short block away from the central "Plaza de Armas" where there are a few stores and restaurants. And for us, most importantly, there was a car park which Edwin made available while we did our overnight hike to Sangalle. A+ service across the board.

The room was spacious and the Wifi was strong throughout the hotel. Check in was easy and flexible and we were made to feel very welcome by Edwin and the other staff. The breakfast was filling enough to gear you up for days of hiking and the evening menu had a nice variety and was great quality. Edwin spoke perfect English which made it easy to converse and for him to help with activities and suggestions. They take credit and debit cards so it was easy to pay for our stay when we got there too. Overall the hotel is excellent and maintained well with flowers and a small terrace at the far end to relax in the sun and as it is on the edge of the town it's generally quiet (especially after 9pm when you need to rest for early get ups).

De eigenaar is ontzettend aardig, hij heeft ons een dag meegenomen naar zijn andere hotel. Na een hele rondleiding door de tuin en een paar kopjes zelfgemaakte thee hebben we ook veel condors hebben kunnen spotten, dit was ook een prachtig hotel en hij had geregeld dat we hier ook een nachtje konden slapen! Echt super behulpzaam en hij doet er alles aan om je thuis te laten voelen

Nah, am Ortskern und trotzdem sehr ruhig.
Liebevoll gepflegt und von einer netten Familie geführt.
Mit dem Seniorchef konnten wir uns eine Weile unterhalten und spüren, wie sehr er das traditionelle Leben und die Landschaft dort liebt.

Lovely location

Very accomodating owner. We parked car in their secure parking lot while hiking. We were delayed with the hike in Colca canyon and arrived late in the accomodation. The owner still gave us the option to order dinner despite being after kitchen closing time. We also got free upgrade. Breakfast was great. Hot shower after the long hike
