Sport Hotel Village

Beautiful property with an amazing location across from the gondola. Easy walking to restaurants and bars. The staff was excellent and attentive. The only issue is the lack of spa on property. Guests must use and pay for the wellness spa at the adjoining hotel.

Had a very nice stay at the Sport Hotel Village. We had two rooms, a mountain view room and a road view room. The mountain view rooms are excellent, and give a really good view of the 4 runs that arrive at the door of the hotel.

Breakfast and Dinner are both buffet style, with freshly cooked items at both meals (eggs, bacon etc in the morning and local dishes in the evening). The range of food available is massive and I struggle to think of anyone not being happy with the food.

There have been some reviews discussing the cost of the bar. Its 7E for a large beer and 4E for a coke; more expensive than Pas de la Casa down the road, but way cheaper than the Alps!

Its described as ski in ski out; Yes it is, but its a little complex. The boot room is just outside the main door of the hotel, and then its a walk (entirely under cover) to the cable car - probably 75 metres. Ski in is either cable car from the top of the resort to the hotel, or ski down the 4 runs that come to the hotel and straight into the lift.

Bathroom big, clean and loads of hot water.

For me I really cant fault things. Yes the spa is a paid for extra, but we knew that before we went, so its not an issue. The hotel WIFI is excellent (big tick from the girls!)

It's been 20 years since we had last stayed at the hotel and it was great then and still is now, if not even better.
The location is ideal for the soldeu gondola.
Service from all the staff was excellent, friendly and helpful.
The room we went for was a junior suite with mountain views.
The breakfast and evening meal options are very extensive and delicious. There are so many options it is very hard to decide on what to have at times. There are great food options for young children too who might not be so adventurous.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay in the sport hotel village Soldeu. The hotel is great, offering a fantastic location and great amenities.

Unfortunately once we had left the hotel we noticed a substantial amount of cash (£ Sterling) has gone missing from our luggage in what we thought was a secure and safe room. We have contacted the hotel only to be told “We will speak with housekeeping”.

As you can imagine this has left us both pretty gutted. Myself and my Wife had been saying all week what a nice hotel and lovely experience it had been.

Fabulous location - probably the best for access to the slopes. Ski storage room was dissappointing, bedrooms are lovely. Great that its adjoined to the Hermitage and you can use the bar there. The service is the Village bar was very slow. Left some items behind in the room. They were not handed in. Nice candle as a Christmas present - shame we didn't get the chocolates like our friends did!

Excellent stay at the Sport Village. Ideal location by gondola and chair lift, and 2 minutes from ski lockers and ski hire shop.
Staff were very helpful and friendly especially Juan on the bar, who was always cheerful, incredibly attentive and observant and all round a perfect hotel employee.
Beds were comfortable, Molton Brown toiletries were replenished daily and there was a good variety of food.

Lovely hotel, lovely rooms, lovely food, very close to gondola and ski hire. The only issue was that we ordered a vegetarian picnic for the homeward journey and it didn't materialise. We were told to let reception know any dietary requirements, so I gave them a sheet with room number, name and a request for vegetarian food.

We stayed for a week in two mountain view rooms and on a half-board basis. Overall, we were all very impressed with the hotel. It's got a nice feel for it and all the staff were very helpful. Both breakfast and evening meals are served in the vast dining are shared with the other Sport hotels and the range and quality of food was always very good.

Particularly good points:

- The staff are very attentive and that is always a good sign.

- Location can't be better for the slopes with the equipment lockers in a building just adjacent to the hotel, and the gondola the other side. This makes the morning trip to the slopes incredibly quick!

What would make it 5-stars?

- Some inclusive spa visits based for a week's stay should be made and the 49Eur charge for 3hrs seems excessive for residents

- The rooms are warm even with heating off. We kept the balcony door ajar to keep the temperature down.

- We booked twin rooms - but what this actually means is two singles together separately made. There's no separation between them which for some might be an issue.

- If you're on a ski group, then check your bill the evening before checkout as we had some incorrect charges made to the room. Staff resolved quickly, but perhaps more care could be made when processing receipts to avoid that

A great stay and we will certainly consider a return visit to Soldeu and the Sport Village.

Good Hotel, really good food and great location.

Rooms are really comfortable apart from the heat. They are very hot and there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to cook them down except leaving the patio door open. We had a Mountain View room with a great view over the pistes.

Food was very very good. I am pescatarian and gluten free but there were lots of quality options for me. It was excellent.

Staff are lovely, really helpful and friendly.

Bar prices let the hotel down 17 euros for a rum and coke. It’s a real shame because we would have spent more time in the hotel.

We had a great stay here for our week of skiing in Andorra. Hotel was clean, warm and comfortable with fantastic friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are a good size with very comfortable beds and we were really impressed with the quality and choice of food at the buffet.

What really makes it stand out is the convenience. The gondola up to the slopes is only a few minutes away and the hotel has lockers right next to the gondola station so you can store your boots and skis really quickly at the end of the day.

The only gripe we had was the price of drinks at the hotel - a G&T starts at €17….and can be a lot more pricey (€23+) if you inadvertently select a more pricey brand! However, all in all, we really enjoyed our stay and are planning on coming back again next year!

The hotel’s location is fabulous with cable cars just around the corner and ski slopes visible from the rooms. We had a few small issues with the hotel housekeeping, however when we mentioned them to reception manager they got resolved and we received adequate compensation. What is more, the design of the hotel itself is gorgeous and food in the restaurant amazing. Although it is worth to mention that there are not many options available for vegetarians.

O teleférico para a montanha sai de dentro do hotel.
Hotel estilo chalé, funcionários muito atenciosos. Café da manhã excelente. Tudo muito bom. Com certeza voltaremos.
