Top location; good service; beware of the room (sur)charge.
Pros:

The hotel's location is simply unmatched; superb!
I strongly recommend it if only for this reason: it is at 2 minutes walking distance from the Old City square, tacked into a small alley, away from the hustle and bustle. Every single sight worth seeing in Prague is easily reached on foot or by taking some public transportation. Truly excellent base to explore Prague.

The room was spotlessly clean. I thanked the cleaning ladies upon my departure.
The possibility to eat decent Czech food at the adjacent restaurant at a 10% discount is also considered a plus.

To keep in mind: because the hotel is in a pedestrian area, your taxi cannot leave you in front of the hotel; you will need to walk for a few minutes from the drop-off point in order to reach it and the same when you leave.

Cons:

The only reason why I did not rate it better, is the fact that I felt I was misled by the hotel: I had booked 4 nights at a certain price to be paid on site. The price was stated in EUR. When I arrived at the hotel, late at night, I was informed by the receptionist in charge that this price was valid, only if I could pay in cash EUR (which had never been stated anywhere in the booking papers).

Since I was paying by card, I would have to pay a certain amount in Czech currency, which was about 16 EUR more than my booking price. I raised the issue with the receptionist, but he said he couldn't do anything about that; this is the policy. In addition, I was asked to settle the new amount on the spot, which was also never stated anywhere in the booking papers (and it has never happened to me before; usually you pay the hotel upon departure).
I was very tired and insecure to continue the discussion, so I did authorize the payment with my card.

Later on, I found out (from my bank transaction message) that my final charge was 23.20 EUR more than my initial booking: instead of the booked € 476.80, I had paid € 500! It did not feel well; I felt I had been taken advantage of.
Hence I am writing this review to alert others: either bring cash with you, or be prepared to pay more! I believe that Booking.com should raise this issue with the Hotel; it is true pity to treat a (trapped) customer like this. It is also a pity to get lower review rating because of this malpractice that I am sure can be improved.

Buena ubicación
Pros:

Está muy bien ubicado. Es limpio. Los chicos de recepción súper amables

Cons:

Pedí cama matrimonial y me dieron dos camitas muy chiquitas. La habitación es súper pequeña. Y ninguno de los chicos de recepción hablaba inglés. El personal de desayuno pésimo.

Needs better communication
Pros:

Good room & good location

Cons:

Couldn’t check in at 3.00 as planned because they’re computers were down and the receptionist wouldn’t release rooms manually so went out and once back at 23.00 checked in so not ideal, the receptionist didn’t communicate very well
