⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Lovely stay at the IF Boutique Hotel
We stayed at the IF Boutique Hotel from Tuesday 19th to Friday 21st August and honestly had a really lovely stay.
Check-in was pretty straightforward and very easy. The receptionist was absolutely lovely, friendly and very accommodating, which was a great start to our stay.
The whole hotel is gorgeous inside. The interior is stunning and everything has such a fancy, modern and luxurious feel to it. One of my personal highlights was that all of the hand wash, shampoo and body wash are from Rituals, which is my favourite, so that was definitely a win-win for me!
The rooms are very cosy, modern and nicely decorated. They aren't the biggest rooms, but this didn't bother us at all as we were mainly there to sleep, and the room did exactly what we needed it to. The bed was comfortable and everything felt clean and well looked after.
The shower and bathroom were also super clean and we had absolutely no issues with them. Everything felt fresh and hygienic, which is always really important when staying in a hotel.
There are just two things I would say could be improved.
Firstly, I think the hotel could benefit from having a designated, more secure area for guests to leave their luggage. We were asked to leave our bags and suitcase underneath the stairs, which was quite open and visible. Although nothing happened and our belongings were fine, it didn't feel particularly secure as anyone could potentially walk in and take something. Perhaps having a designated luggage room or a system where guests are given a number or ribbon for their luggage, with the luggage only being handed back once the number has been checked, would make guests feel much more comfortable.
The second thing would be the room doors. I think some soft padding or a door closer could really help, as when the doors to the rooms next to us were closed, they shut very loudly. Unfortunately, this woke both myself and my partner up several times during the night. It's a small thing, but I think it would make a big difference to the overall experience and quality of sleep.

Der Check-In und Checkt-out war sehr unkompliziert. Der Kaffeeautomat, welcher kostenlos ist, war auch sehr gut. Das Bett war angenehm. Blick auf den Kanal war nett. Grundsätzlich sauber und modern.
Wenn andere Gäste im Treppenhaus sind, kann es sehr laut werden. Vor allem nachts etwas unangenehm. Vor allem, weil die Zimmertüren sehr laut ins Schloss fallen. Das blaue Licht am Spiegel ließ sich nicht ausschalten nachts. Das stört beim Schlafen. Die Fernbedienung funktionierte nicht. Die Lampen an der Decke waren sehr staubig und von Spinnenweben überzogen.
It was in a very quiet area but nearby a few tram stations. It was very clean inside and quiet as well. The digital keycard for accessing the front door and our room was really handy and we had no issues with it.
I would have liked a mini fridge to keep some drinks cool, and the hairdryer wasn’t that powerful but otherwise it was fine :)
